I made an un-fixable mistake on this, but by the time I realized it I was too deep in to want to abandon the drawing, and I definitely didn't want to start over. So, the area around the dangling key looks weird, but hey, it probably looks better now than it did before. Went through a phase where it looked like the bird was flying off with a pepperoni pizza. Maybe I should have left it that way.Wouldn't mind fixing recommendations as long as they don't involve starting over. I thought about digitally editing but it does feel like cheating.
Pen exercise. Black ink, white paper.

Um... well... honestly I don't know! It was unfinished in my sketchbook for about 4 months and I'd just work on it whenever I watched TV or when my drawings were stinking & I had nothing better to chip away at. So who knows how many hours it took really. O_o

It's basically my favorite way to draw, I highly recommend it. Though I don't actually consider this to be a very good drawing using this particular method. I messed some things up.

Thanks! Haha, well, I guess that's usually how it is. I feel like I maybe went too crazy with detailing to the drawing's detriment, but in the right drawing this star field would be great. Here I worry it visually detracts from the other stuff that's going on a little. I will find a good balance, though!

Wow, that is a LOT of little texture dots, I bet that was tedious. Looks very, very cool though. The whole thing is kind of surreal, and I think it looks just fine!

I admit I like doing the dots, it's relaxing. It just takes forever! Sometimes I want to do a comic in this style but I figure if I do, I'll have to switch to digital because it takes too much time traditionally.
