Creativity is important for artists and seeing how it's being handled today by art teachers in schools and in modern galleries it makes me cringe.
My teachers keep telling me that "Fantasy is not an art, it's just entartainment".
It's like saying that imagination is worthless
My teachers keep telling me that everything should be drawn by "nature" and not from our "heads/imagination", how narrow-minded they can be?
I want to strangle them for saying that ._.

Art schooling is terrible with their uniformizing to one particular style and oppressing individuality, same about art galleries, their art appreciation is quite snobbish when they display plain canvases with a brush stroke on them and an art historian at the opening event who tries to convince you about these paintings are high art with deep phylosophy. They rather tell me their artist have a great talent in self-management instead of arts.
Tolkien wrote in his essay book that fantasy is a higher form of art than realism as fantasy makes the author or artist a creating person who can build up an entire world in their mind while realism is all about making a copy of the surrounding environment.
Of course everyone love different arts and themes, it goes bad when art historians make one or two style the appreciated form of art and tell people this is art and all others aren't, or when you go online and arts getting valued by an entirely different factor, you have to work with a wacom tablet and mass produce canned Warcraft/Wizards of the coast/Forgotten realms illustrations to be appreciated.

Jól tetted, hogy a magad meglátásait követted. Engem teljesen lenyűgözött ahogyan magát az anatómiát megoldottad (sosem voltam a keszeg nők rajongója) és tetszik, hogy adtál neki egy misztikumot ami körüllengi, a lenge "ruházat" ellenére is. Süt belőle az erő.
Egyetértek, Ariel sokkal jobb volt azzal az ijesztő arccal, kíváncsian várom mit hozol ki belőle.

Hát a divatbemutatók kifutóin vonagló Gollamoktól én is frászt kapok ahogy a kiálló medencecsontjuk tartja rajtuk a szoknyát, sokkal jobban tetszenek az izmos, erős alkatok nők esetében is mint például Boris Vallejo amazonjai akik meg tudják védeni magukat. Végül is igaza van, a nem éppen Disney-féle fantáziavilágokban a nyüzügéknek nem sok esélye lenne a túlélésre. A Crystal Dynamics-féle Ariel nálam nem volt nyerő, a Blood Omen-beli titokzatoskodó, manipuláló kísértet jobban tetszett, inkább valami démoni jellegű varázslónőnek tudnám elképzelni és biztos hogy nem volt százas vagy csak szerette a fura dolgokat ha képes volt összeállni egy olyan bizarr figurával mint Nupraptor. És persze akit később minden bűntudat nélkül öletett meg, nagy szerelem ide vagy oda.

Planned to create a work every month last year but totally slipped off with it since september, real life job just didn't let much free time.
Yes, she thrown those energy balls from that little dry area in the middle of a lake, she turned into a glowing naked figure when she took off her cloak. I don't mind at all there were no detailed CGI-s of these characters as it was all left to my imagination to create them.
The runes are the description of Dark Eden taken from the transcript, thought it'd give the cloak a magical look if it's covered with runes.
Haha and the more you enlarge the picture the more pixelated she becomes

I'm glad you like it. Human bodies are my favourite subject to paint but pin-up or erotism isn't my thing, rather the fantasy or dark context is the main focus of the scenes. And not a bad thing if the characters have an appealing look too
