Description Tutorial on how to make pony icons. You don't need to follow exactly what I've done here if you don't want to, this is only how I do it. If you want to use this way, then go ahead.

PLEASE remember this is doable on ANY program, other programs might not have the right settings, but that doesn't mean you can't improvise! You do not have to follow the tutorial down to a tee.

Are the lines meant to be faded on the base? If so what should I lower my opacity down to on my brush?

Sarahostervig [2015-07-15 23:04:24 +0000 UTC]

in the 2nd step on the brush
on my brush it seems like i have to overdraw the line a few times to make it visable enough

do you do that too?

Kaji-Tanii In reply to Sarahostervig [2015-07-17 17:56:15 +0000 UTC]

No, have you possibly got the opacity down? or the setting on normal? Make sure everything on your sai matches up to the one on the tutorial in step 2 c:

no i dont have the opacity down
i checked the steps and did as it said

tho it might be cuss im used to using an ink brush not a brush or a pen toll

and not so small pixels

You can do everything except for the luminosity.

Don't think paint has the layer modes or blur tool actually... thought I should say something

I had a quick look on paint and I can't find layers... you probably can do it on paint but it would be more difficult. Gimp is a free to download drawing program that does have these features though, and can open the photoshop file too.
