Description
Well this is my first attempt at a dog, as I've mainly been drawing people. It's a Spaniel called Chloe, who sadly passed away last year and my friend asked me to draw her. I picked this photo as I loved the expression, and gave it a whirl!
A4 Paper, with pencils from about 2H to 8B...whichever was sharpest
Not drawn anything for nearly 6 months, so trying to get back into things again,

Beautiful. Love the expression, and how detailed.
Technical question, how do you draw the whiskers? Especially on a dark background. Do you use some kind of white pencil or one of those electric erasers?
I've never been able to quite capture that.

Thanks, no the whiskers I outline with a light pencil right at the start and then try and draw round them as much as possible. Sometimes you go over a bit and can shade them, and then just use a fine eraser to pick out a highlight or two if needed
