Why yes, I did do another beach walk a couple days ago.
I figured this shot could make a decent texture for someone. Feel free to use, but remember to credit!

This seems to be a fair bit more pebbly than my idea of a shingle.
When I look at the full view and stare at it for a little while, it puts me in mind of a huge jammed-up crowd of people...

Again, this would make a lovely texture (as you yourself said). Hope someone puts it to good use.
Also, I like all the bits of blue in this. Or grey. Whichever, it's pretty.

I hope so too.
It's both, sort of. The local mussels shine blue at some angles and black at others (and then they're sort of mother of pearl on the inside). It depends on how the light hits them. I've always like the colour too.
