Fanart. I don't usually draw that... but yes! The infatuation with L just inspired me. Hence, this picture.

Finally, I managed to make myself finish a picture. =/ So many pictures in my scraps that never got completed! Ah well. I think I'm over the artistic block period. =/ Which is good! But then... school starts so soon. And then - no art for a year. Probably. XD Although I get so many good ideas during school, there's not much time to draw many of them.

My life has been very eventful during the course of the last few weeks. So many frustrations, too. Like a roller-coaster ride with too many faulty cars. But then again, it's like knowing that the roller-coaster itself is faulty but then being unable to resist a ride. =/ Or having not much choice. In other words, I have gone back to being characteristically philosophical.

Note - all that was writted while listening to Lacrimosa's "Kyrie". That should... explain everything. XD

But yes. Lots of things inspired me to draw this piece. Mainly listening to "Schism" by Tool. I can't help it... it just reminds me of L and his cute psychotic smile.

I spent some time trying to resist the urge to draw some blood on the feather and L's shirt. I made myself resist, otherwise it would just have looked like any other em0, macabre looking picture. And I don't want that. While there is a certain element of "darkness" to this picture, I think it still implies that L is not evil, but he is more or less a victim of this. The white light also shows his strange... purity... o_o

What I couldn't resist was to add the wires and a slightly sci-fi aspect to it. ._. Which I can't help!!! Because it's the same as my signature now. So shush about that.

The wings have been left slightly more sketchy than expected. I like the light, almost vision-like quality of this...

My parents have always disapproved of me drawing people with wings. Especially black. =/ I have no idea why, because I do not imply them being demonic or satanic whereas some people may choose to do that. I just draw them for the sake of drawing wings.
