Ohoho, what have we here?My God, this was awesome. Even if it took me all night. Drawing in Layton style is really fun. This is also the first time I actually got Anton to look right.
There are a few minor spoilers for The Diabolical Box and I think a couple for The Last Time Travel in here, so let me know if you think it should be marked mature for such things.

Ha ha. I liked seeing them as Batman and Robin, and using a time machine as an answer to the no more puzzles question is one of the more unusual and creative answers. These are fun.

What's it about anyways?

It's about this insanely brilliant professor named Hershel Layton and his apprentice Luke. In the first game they go to this village to look for a treasure left behind by a deceased baron called the Golden Apple. In the second game they set out on a search for something called the Elysian Box, which is said to kill anyone who opens it, because it caused the death of Layton's mentor.
The games revolve around puzzles, and you have to solve them to progress through the story. The puzzles range from fun to near impossible, but every puzzle has an answer, as Layton says.
There you go, a basic summary of the two games that are out so far. I strongly advise you to check it out, as everyone who plays it loves it in the end. Although most people feel like total morons when trying to solve some of the puzzles. XD
