          "Mail call! Mail call!"
          Pelipper's shrill cry rang through the air of Team Azul's base, causing Olive to rouse from her troubled slumber. Still groggy, she could not recall the events of the previous evening. She knew something had happened, something bad. Olive searched her thoughts. Zoe... Despair... Sky... Kay...
          Kay.
         Suddenly Olive just wanted to die. She wanted the pain to end, the world to go away. For a split second she almost wished that the meteor she had been chosen to stop would rise anew and destroy her.
         Olive shook herself. She was being selfish. Her top priority was to put a stop to the murders and save Kay, not wallow in her own misery.
         "MAIL CALL!"
         The impatient scream terminated Olive's thoughts, and she groaned. Crisis or no crisis, she was the leader of a rescue team, and had to do her job. I'll get some of the other members, she thought, they'll do the missions.
          Olive padded to the mailbox and opened it with one paw. She leafed through the job requests, skimming over each one. Mt. Thunder... Ari can handle that... Tiny Woods... I'll give that one to Stripes... Frosty Forest... Despair, probably...
          Then one mission caught her eye.

          My sister went missing... I think she may have been kidnapped. If you would be so kind as to help...

          Client: The Dark Eevee

          Objective: Save my sister

          Place: Magma Cavern B15F

          Difficulty: S

          Reward: ???

          "The Dark Eevee..." Olive whispered to herself. Who could that be? Who- or, rather- whatever it was, she had to help it. She just COULDN'T abandon a fellow eevee. And the other team members wouldn't be strong enough to tackle this mission alone. The Magma Cavern....yeesh.
          She jogged toward Pokemon Square to pick up supplies.

          Sweltering beneath her furry coat, Olive reached the fifteenth floor of the Magma Cavern. Although her Pecha Scarf had protected her from any Poisen Types she confronted, a surprisingly strong macargo had given her a bad burn on her left hind leg. She winced as she hopped over a large rock blocking the path, and repremanded herself for not bringing enough Rawst Berries.
          Olive swapped her Scarf for a pair of X-Ray Specs that she carried so as to spot the location of clients. Amazing things, these Specs, she thought to herself. She survayed the rocky walls, searching what was behind them for a spot of yellow. Enemy Pokemon apeared to have red body heat, and clients apeared to have a sunny gold color.
           Finally, she saw what she was looking for. A small yellow shape was being towerd over by a bulky mass of red. So it HAD been kidnapped... The confrontation was taking place just around the corner from where she was positioned. Olive was about to bolt to the eevee's rescue when she heard the convict say something that made her fur stand on end.
           "Alright, small fry. I know you're behind it. So you're gonna tell me why you're causing The Wind, or you're gonna hurt. Kapeesh?"
           "I told you!" cried a female voice, obviously the captured eevee. "We're trying to STOP The Wind, not cause it!"
           "LIES!" the kidnapper screeched, then smacked the eevee with a fierce blow from very long claws. Flattened up against the wall, Olive inched closer. The kidnapper was a menacing-looking sandslash, but she couldn't see the eevee.
           "I'm giving you one more chance, shorty. I saw you there when my daughter was killed, it was your fault. Now fess up or die."
           "I didn't kill your daughter, I was trying to save her!"
           "THAT'S it, I've had enough of you!" The sandslash reared up, claws glinting from the reflected magma, in preparation for what was sure to be a killing blow.
           Now was the time to act. Olive raced around the corner and slamed into the sandslash, catching it off guard. It fell to the rocky floor with a "thud." Still dazed, it slowly raised itself off the ground. Before it could perform another action, Olive made for the sandslash's face. Claws outstretched, she swiped it's forehead, drawing blood that dripped into the kidnapper's eyes. Blinded, the sandslash lumbered uncoordinated towards a wall. Olive again smacked it from behind, and the combined force of Olive and the wall knocked the sandslash unconscious.
          Triumphant, Olive focused her attention on the kidnapped eevee and gasped.
          Before her was both the most beautiful and strange eevee Olive had ever seen. Her coat was pure white, or would have been if it wasn't streaked with blood. In turn, the bushy fur around her neck was the color of steel. Her soft face would have been positively gorgeous, if not disfigured by an ugly scar that ran through her left eye. But what was most startling were the wings. Huge, white, feathery wings that would have been best fit for an angel sprouted from the eevee's back. One was obviously broken, bent at an immposible angle that clearly explained why the extraordinary Pokemon had not simply flown away.
          Curled up in a fetal position with her wings folded, the wonderous eevee cautiously opened one eye. "Who..." She said faintly.
          "It's all right," said Olive, trying to hide her surprise, "I've come to rescue you. Here, take my hand-er, paw-I'm going to get you out of here."
          "Thank Arceus..." the eevee whispered, and then fainted.
          Olive held up her silver rescue team badge and let it shine on the eevee. A beam of light eveloped her, and she was gone. Back to Pokemon Square. Olive followed her, clutching the badge and letting the bright portal carry her across an immpossible distance in a heartbeat.
          Landing, as always, by the Pelipper Post Office, Olive studied her surroundings and started. It was pitch black outside, and no Pokemon were there to greet her. How long was she gone?
          That was when the Darkness came. A cloud of pure shadow rose out nowhere and came toward Olive and covered her, not letting her fight, not even letting her breath. She gasped for air and fumbled for the toolbox, managing to open it and let her paws close around one item- a reviver seed. Then a voice, a cold, cruel voice, spoke to her from the blackness:
           "I thank you for saving my sister. Now, unfortunetly, you're coming with me."
           Olive blacked out.
