This has been cross-posted on my main account, Karijn .This is not my main form of inspiration, but it's a lot of fun and helps a lot when I'm stuck and I don't know what to draw anymore.
The nice thing is that you never get the same three things for one colour, they always change. Well, not always, but you'll see that even if one or two remain the same, the one that changes can produce a totally different design.

How did you change the line art color for contrast in the last picture?Β

You simply colour the lines with a colour close to the one on the character but slightly darker. (Sorry, no shortcut buttons that I know of, unfortunately.

I think I figured out a shortcut; just set the line art layer toΒ
"overlay", and it should match the colors inside :3

Yup, as long as the lines overlay on the color you want and not half-half.

but what if you have to use every color in a 5 color palette? then what's a good way to coordinate?

I usually use the most desaturated ones for background and do the markings with the saturated ones. All palettes have some kind of balance. Another thing you can try is to do every part of the design on a different layer (base, gradient, design and extras) and then change the colours of the palette until you find the version you like best.

I have one question~
If let say there's someone who wanted to claim this adoptable~
Then, allow them to use the design based from this tuto right? Does that mean you have to provide the back view, side view and front view of your adoptable? Just curious~

Thank you for reminding me of her status, this design has been bought so she's no longer up for adoption.
Anyway, when you do an adoptable, it's not necessary to do all possible views of it. Sure, it adds to its value because there's more art, but as long as the front view has a clear depiction of the details, there's no need to do anything else.
