Arctic: $12 ADOPTED by CrimsonDragoon12 @ FA
Info on arctic Quilicants: Thick, dense fur; usually the largest of the species (some standing up to 3 ft tall), and very muscular; longer claws and teeth to reach through longer, thicker fur of prey species. Coloration usually consists of mostly grays and whites if they are in a very snowy region, but can have browns and other colors if their territory is less snowy.
Jungle: $12 ADOPTED by ~soki92
Info on jungle Quilicants: Usually have a heavier build than desert quilicants; body is almost tiger-like; typically have spots or stripes for camouflage; otherwise pretty standard to the species. Coloration is typically the most colorful.
Desert: $12
Info on desert Quilicants: Larger, flatter feet; larger ears; thinner build with short, coarse fur; can have longer legs. Coloration typically matches the colors of the sands around their area, which can be more tan-ish, gray-ish, red-ish, etc.

Info on Quilicants:
*Contrary to their appearance, they are fairly small predators, average height for the species is around 2 ft, because of this, they are sometimes attacked and eaten by larger predators.
*To help themselves survive, they've developed a defense mechanism similar to a porcupine, and that is the sharp quills located on the back, rump and tail. Usually they are relaxed, but when threatened, the quilicant will first attempt to make itself look larger by poofing out the quills, and if the predator does not leave, it may then curl up, with the quills pointing at the threat to try and deter them further. It's usually an effective strategy if the predator has had a run-in with one before and remembers the pain of the quills, but naive or young animals pay still attack or try to play with them, which will result in a very painful encounter. Some experienced predators have found ways to knock quilicants on their backs, exposing their soft underbellies, and making the kill that way.
*Their long fangs are similar to a saber-tooth cat, in that, they use them more for stabbing and holding when hunting rather than chewing. Their jaws are actually rather weak for a predator, and because of that, they are opportunistic feeders and will eat almost anything, including grasses and fruit. Quilicants mostly rely on their claws and strength to subdue prey when they do hunt, but because feeding on meat is more difficult and takes longer due to their fangs, they can be ran off from their kill pretty quickly if another predator catches wind of it.
*They are highly adaptable and can live almost anywhere.
*Retractable claws
*Colorations and markings help them camouflage themselves in their habitat, since they don't particularly like to stick out in their environment. They either use that to their advantage to hunt, or hide themselves when they are being hunted instead.
*I forgot to add them in, but they do have thin whiskers.
*Skull details: Top of the skull is inspired by a muntjac, while the bottom jaw is inspired by a bear. They have canine teeth on the bottom jaw, as shown. Also cat influences in the skull design.

*Species influences incorporated into this design: Muntjac, big cats/saber-toothed cats, bear, porcupine

So I got my temperamental tablet to work finally, but I really don't know how long it'll last, it seems every time I plug it in I have to restart my computer either once or twice, guh. Really need the money though, so I made some adoptables in the hopes that they sell, and in the process made a new species and put way too much though into it lol.
