Teeny tiny gargoyle for tonight, still reptilian-ish but hey it's not a rare monster partner now, but an uncommon one ;3I like how I wanted these to be the most varied creatures appearance-wise, and yet I drew the three examples with all similar features 8(
Please note, this is not how I see all gargoyles/gargoyles in general. This is just a basic guide to how they work in my original story "Hunted"

nah it's fine, that's what these are for so I can work the details out in case I put them on my website. I'll change it when I get home. I was gonna do sea serpents next, but I'm missing notes so I ended up doing gargoyles instead

Man, I love all these factoids about the creatures, it's really neat to see how much thought you put into this! So quick question, since gargoyles' appearances are based off the stones they're made of, is it possible that older ones/ those that are exposed to high temperature/pressure are capable of having gemstones form on their bodies? Just curious! :3

Well I guess I would say that the high pressure would basically be levels of stress, so occasionally gems probably grow like acne on gargoyles when they're super stressed
