No one has made a point of noticing this phenomenon, but anyway, I am now!We all know Sebastian's cat fetish very well, and in this particular scene he is watching over Ciel in cat form. So I was wondering... what would happen if for a moment he forgot he was a cat and he saw himself in a mirror or his own reflection in a window? What would he still be mesmerized?

On the contary, while his familiar IS a crow/raven, demons can shape shift into whatever form they need to be and briefly used this cat form to look over Ciel unnoticed while Sebastian temporarily abandoned Ciel.

The fact that Sebastian's appearance actually reflects Vincent Phantomhive (Ciel's father) because demons also reflect what the contracted needs. Ciel needed a father figure back.
