IΒ think it's similar to my youngest brother. I tried teaching him how to draw twice, and he always leaves the room to go watch TV. Wasn't very pleased at that.

Me: TEACH YOURSELF!!!! *storms upstairs in a fit of anger*

But... but in school they teach us that you can learn everything you need to know with 5 minutes of cramming!

I think one of my juniors asked me to teach them, and i'm just like: "Okay, here's the basics! Here's a circle, draw the face, teach yourself how to do the rest cuz i had to teach myself!" I only said that last line cuz they kept on talking about other stuff. I'm just like, "If you're going to ask me to show you how to do something, at least pay attention!"
No one believes me when i say the only way how to become good at drawing is if you practice all the time, they all just say the same thing, "Oh, that takes so much work!"
Very few of my friends and juniors actually took that advice and some of them are pretty good today.
