Hmmm.... I was thinking about Okita's smiling and such, so I came up with this. I was going to colour it but so much brown because he's in the dojo x.x *kills pencil crayons* So instead I just shaded it and such. I wanted a strong sense in shadows. I'm still adding more so I'll probably replace this with the finished piece later on.
And about the "quote", I refered to myself and Okita.
Also about the shinai (bamboo sword used in kendo) on the floor in front of him represents something. For that, you'd have to think about it.

The shinai is strong but is still breakable.

and it is insanely hard to break. have you ever tried breaking one of those bamboo practice swords? my little bros and i bash on each other all the time with them (well, not really, mostly just on each other's swords) but we havn;t broken one yet.
