BunnyLox59 requested me to draw Ciel from Black Butler, so there you go! I am honestly really proud of this drawing, other than the stiffness of the figure. There was no tracing of any source; just one reference picture. (If anyone was wondering if I traced... I would admit my pity of tracing if I were to at any time... ) Well, hope you all like it! This took me like, 3-5 hours... I wasn't keeping track of time and just kinda assumed... Hehe...Related content

So to begin with, I've been practising digital art for some time and I still don't really know how do those programs work xD I mean, layers, brushes, like wtf is that, picking a pencil is much more tempting ;; So according to my poor knowledge about digital, I think you drew shadows very well and I like those on his face the most. I am sure that if you tried adding more colors and shades effect would be even better ^^ And I really like his hair, I think the way you did it looks really cool and actually, it reminds me a deep sea which is very cool xD Titles that you added look decent tho, but I almost didn't notice this one of the botom. Maybe you can work on perspective and proportions, but of course it takes time to learn. Face and body expression looks right. As soon as you do digital, you can also try to use more options in your software to make your art look more varied. In conclusion, I personally consider this work not bad, it's clearly visible that it's arogant Ciel Phantomhive, you used good matching colors, did good shading as well and didn't forget about background. Keep it up

Aw, thanks for the feedback. I have two good programs, and photoshop... Photoshop I want to use better, but I can't find out how to do all the cool effects, so I got frustrated and quit. I will probably go back on it because I just found out how many manga/anime artists use it... I thought I was the only one using photoshop for anime, so that made me quit x2. I am trying to focus more on proportion right now, and for some reason, I can't find any good references or tutorials for perspective to help me improve from where I'm at as of now, so if you happen to come across some, please link them to me or tag me so that I can improve in this area. If you need someone to tell you how bushes and layers work, you can come to me, btw. I'm not good with textures and shading... The whole apple thing or still life projects just don't seem to click with me... Again, if you happen to come across a tutorial of shading, please feel free to send me a link or tag me in it. Thank you, you really helped me!

Alright, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! I, as you can tell, am not the best at doing my line work... If you could give me a few tips to help me improve, I'd appreciate it! (I'm not forcing you to) Also, how and what textures are off? I'd like to see how I can improve my textures as well as the flow of my drawing... As for the writing, I do agree it looks a bit weird.... I think it does look a bit cool, but I should have written it with something else or just not done it at all... Thanks, though, again!

if you have it where the end curls go into a line so it merges with the textures streaks not a lot will do well for hair
the hair was off also make the line have a more blunt end

If you can see part of the eye behind the hair, I usually show the lids of the eye through the hair... Sometimes I don't but yeah... Thanks for the help... I'll watch out for next time!

I think we should be eclectic you see? Despite writing only transformers, I wrote AVP, Thundercats, DBZ because I like a lot and grew up with some of those cartoons! If I wrote about t Ciel Phantomhive it was due of an art-trade.

Well, I'm sure you are/will be a great writer as your english improves! You are doing very good for it not being your native language! Your criticism is very helpful, as for all efforts given to help my art are helpful because it means people want to help me. It influences me to keep working harder and to get better. I am a grammar freak, myself so if you need help, you can come to me. I tend to be pretty good at writing myself,(Not to brag) but I prefer to draw over write. Anyway, thank you so much for the help! I appreciate it so much! Keep working and don't get discouraged and I'm sure you'll be better at your english and writing in no time!

Well, I write Fanfiction since 1989, but write in English for many years but small texts at school, but I started stories in English with small steps, using translators and other tools to help me...including speller checkers
Always write my stories in my mother tongue and the.n translate! But I wrote a story in English from scratch, last year.
The fault of all this... but in a good sense, was DA and the fact I have relatives live back in South Ireland.
