This is a trial tutorial, this mean it may be edited, deleted or replaced.
Please let me know if it is too hard to follow by commenting below.
Download if the writing or images appear to small. Also download if you like this version of the tutorial as it may be removed/altered.
Each template piece has a name, for example 'fringe behind ear' or 'outside body' that will be labelled on the paper templates.
Please refer to the templates when going through this tutorial, it will make understanding it a lot easier.
You only need the 1 copy of the paper templates, cut them out and trace around them on the fabric. If you need 4 pieces of that template then you trace around the 1 paper template onto the fabric 4 times. (while this maybe obvious to some, I was so close to cutting out several paper copies of the same template >.< lol). For left and right pieces just turn over the paper for the other side. Also remember that if a section(such as the head) requires turning inside out, sew with the desired side of the fabric on the inside.
If you find that this tutorial is no good or you need a different perspective on instructions then check out this link. I used this tutorial to make the fluttershy plushie, however using my own templates and tweaks.

Please note that while this tutorial might not be perfect, I did not 'have' to share it. While some other artists will not share their plushie templates I have done so. So please show a little appreciation. I am open to improving the tutorial, so please leave a constructive comment if you have a problem.

What fabric is good with this project? Would felt work? OR do you recommend fleece or something else entirely?

can't wait to try it, seems perfect for a beginner like me, hope i'm right....
anyway, i'd like to ask how did you do the eyes?
and, by the way, i did get a little confused in the mane part, other than that, simply brilliant

Sorry for the late response.
Well this was my second attempt at making a pony, it will take a little patience and practice. Be prepared to make mistakes but these are easily fixed. The eyes are embroidered with thread, you can have a look at this great tutorial by casshley [link]
Once you get started I'm sure things will start to make a little more sense. If while or after attempting to do the mane you still find it confusing drop me another message
thank you ^_^ x

i'm sorry. I was working on another tutorial but I seem to have lost half the photos. So I'll 'probably' make another tutorial if I make a new mlp plushie.

id recommend doing it against a darker bg next time, as the fabric is very light and is fading into the bg. Other than that, it looks damn cute!

Very well done, I liked how it turned out in the end. My only feed back would be to enlarge the photos (or be able to zoom in more) so I can get a bit more of an idea of what it looks like as I'm going.
Great job, though.^_^

I made the eyes by sowing thread on a piece of fabric then sowing the fabric onto the head.
