Alternate universe where Kula is the future Queen and Mtoto (son of Naanda and Ushujaa) is her betrothed.

Their parents decide to tell them about their betrothal in hopes of them growing closer. Kula is surprised to hear this information, while Mtoto is unsure as to what "betrothed" means. Though once his father clarifies, he is horrified. Mtoto is just at the age where he finds girls gross. He begs his father to reconsider, calling Kula icky in front of her face, but the older lion refuses, saying that the agreement had already been made.

Kula didn't speak to Mtoto for a while, partially out of embarrassment but also anger that he insulted her.
