If you enjoy the deeper aspects of the anime, and aren't distressed by darker themes or violence (unlikely if you've seen "Enter the Dragon"), then you might also enjoy the Trigun and Trigun Maximum manga. It runs far deeper than the anime... and has a -lot- more story.
If you do a search, (the last time I checked) there was still at least one online site that had a fan translated version of the Trigun and Trigun Maximum manga. (Mr. Nightow had to change publishers after the fifth moon, so the rest of the story is published as "Trigun Maximum.")
Sometimes the official translation (which must be purchased) is clearer about what is happening, but other times the (free) fan translation is. I find it intriguing to compare the two.
I still like the anime. However, after reading the manga, I feel like the anime cheated us. It never showed Vash's wings.

Yes i've heard that there are some diferences between the manga and the anime. I don't really know the diferences and I never read the manga.
So you liked the anime and then you read the manga and found out that if the anime sticked to the manga, it woulda been 'even' better?
Well I'm not much of a manga reader.. however i'm definitely gonna read Trigun and Trigun Maximum then (Cause it's Trigun). Those wings would certainly be worth watching

I'm not usually much of a manga reader either. Trigun, however, is an exceptional story with exceptional characters.
Trigun has 3 books, sold as a single "omnibus" book. Trigun Maximum has 14 books, sold as 5 "omnibus" books. The anime diverges and ends during the first Trigun Maximum omnibus. Manga runs deeper, and (especially toward the end) darker. In some battles, it runs bloodier.
On the whole, I like the full story better than the truncated version. More of Vash makes up for more about the bad guys.
I hope you'll enjoy discovering "the rest of the story."
PS -- Just so you'll know, Mr. Nightow's artwork improves dramatically between the first chapters and the final chapters of the original Trigun. By the time "Trigun Maximum" begins, his drawings are roughly equivalent to the anime.

The Trigun movie is back on hulu. It can be watched for free from your computer, if your internet provider allows streaming without additional charges.
When I call it up, I can watch it in either English dub or Japanese soundtrack with English subtitles. Other languages may available if it is accessed from other regions. One has to put up with commercial interruptions, but hey... free is a good price.
