Description
Isaac and Jenna, from the Golden Sun games, fencing in the style of the webcomic Order of the Stick. Also appearing are Helen Beta Narbon and Dave Prescott Davenport, from the webcomic Narbonic. Made in Inkscape. This was made for the Iron Avatarist: Summer Olympics 2008 competition on the Giant in the Playground forums.
My comments with the entry were: "I have no idea why Isaac and Jenna (yes, that's Isaac) are competing against each other, considering that they're from the same town.
"Hurrah for cameos. The audience includes one Anonymous Faceless Individual, Helen Narbon, and Dave Davenport (both from Narbonic) I really liked how Helen turned out, although I probably should have made her "evil" bigger. Dave really disappointed me. I didn't really expect to do his shirt/coat thing very well, but the rest of him could very much be better. Especially his hair and beard. Also he's supposed to be facepalming, not adjusting his glasses. I had intended to have Lupin Madblood somewhere in the back of the audience either sulking or glaring at Dave, but I ran out of time and the audience never really showed up."
This is the last of my Colosso 2008 pictures, although I apparently started one with Sheba cycling but didn't get very far.

Some advice for future facepalms: Try putting the hand over the face, not next to it. It might look better (although glasses might get in the way )
Otherwise, I like it. I get the feeling Jenna's going to win, though: Light Blades are her specialty

Yeah, although that can get tricky once you fiddle with object depths - arms are a lot easier if they can continue behind the body a little, but the head has to be in front of the body. Sleeves, when they appear, can complicate things even more.

Well, I'll take your word for it, 'cause I haven't tried anything like this
