Description
My second Digital cell shading art of a Full Metal Panic dude on MS Paint! Drawn then gone over in paint and coloured.Dont think its as good, but the colours are more cheery, less cold, but that scause it suits the character, voiced by Vic Magnogna and sutis it! Cocky, Arrogant and a bit of a ladies man, hes a good main character!
Picture based on a scene from the series, but ***NOT*** copied, dont want people trying to moan at me!

the hair looks a little lumpy around the back, , but the colouring's great for msp and the expression is spot on. nice work tony.

First off, I have a legal copy of Photoshop (to clear up that argument) and secondly MS Paint is a perfectly fine program to use.
He looks good, hon. You might want to add just a wee bit more detail in the eyes (another color or two, of course there might be and my moniter's makig blend), but other then that he looks great

I like the eyes and the shape of his face. I like how the colours are similar to the previous piece, but as you said, they are also cheerier. Once again I can't say I am familiar with this character, but I agree that it gives him a different personality. Very nice work; my only crit is that the lines are too thick and clunky and detract from the piece. I know that drawing without a tablet in paint is hard to do and stuff, but it really flattens this piece....

yeah... but thats the best thickness of the lines, any thinner and theyr to thin, look to sketchy....

I disagree. <3 I think you can go drastically slimmer with the lines. Lines are a guide, not an inherent aspect to a piece :3 But you're right that if they were all thin it may weaken the piece, but linear weights (ie varying the thickness of the lines) is what is key in these pieces I think :3

sure. But varying the quality of the line overall is most effective. IE, making it lighterwhere your light source is and darker where you intend to have you shadows :3

thats an interesting idea!! but Paint is far to limited for that, the onyl way it could be done is froma bigger picture and shrinking it donw, but that goes away from the method im using with paint....

*sighs* I can never fathom how people do that with MS Paint. The cel-shading is great...and it's drawn pretty well. Goddammit! Why am I so hopelessly inept with Paint?
Anyway, awesome pic. Could probably do with being a bit lighter, but the hair in particular is fantastically drawn.
Ahh Kurtz...he is a great character. His carefree attitude and womanising charm add a certain something to the series...especially when Mao belittles him for it...

Heheheh...that makes me feel better. I thought Paint just had a special grudge against me. Excellent colouring indeed thoguh, and nicely placed shading.
Photoshop is...appealing. How fun it would be to redo my pieces in digital! Alas, maybe Christmas...I'm skint and I need to save up for a ski trip.

^_^ Costs quite a lot, but I'm going to a resort near Los Angeles, California. It's in February, so enough snow and good temperature. As well as skiing, we get to go and do stuff around the resort. We also get to wander around LA, and drive along the Pacific Coastline Highway. I love California...
