That's ok, of course you're free to decide what do do with criticism.
Nothing wrong with .avi. Keep in mind that .avi is not a compression, but just a file format, like .mov and .wmv (NEVER use .wmv) but also .mp3 and .aif. The actual compressions are things like Photo JPEG, H264, MPEG 4, DV, Animation, DVCPRO, HDV, etc. A lot of people make this mistake, even my fellow-students.

Hmm...although, I use Windows Movie Maker for the final product and save it as an HD .wmv file. I don't understand what's wrong with using .wmv format.

.wmv is written a lot of unnecessary data packed into it. So it's file size/quality rating is lower than, say, .avi files.

Open Source Software is your friend!

Open Source Software, or OSS (like GIMP, Blender, Firefox and Audacity), are free software programs that are also free to edit by anyone (the source code is left open, hence the name) This means that it's not only free to use, but there's also a lot of handy-dandy third party content available (like Gimpshop, an altered GIMP version, specially made for Photoshop users). Open Source is also known for it's versatility, being able to handle a wide selection of files. This is because there's no big shot company involved, like Microsoft refusing to make Moviemaker compatible with the Quicktime format. Here's a website about OSS alternatives: [link] Just fill in your software's name (like Photoshop) and the site will show you free alternatives (the ones with the green dot, that is)!
TL;DR: OSS is free! Go here to search for them: [link]

Hey Pyrowman. I'm the other animator in "Kakashi vs Sasuke". Just wanted to say thanks for bringing up TVP animation. I had no idea about it. I'm working to become a professional animator so reading what it can do really excited me. Thanks again!

If you're really interested in animation, you should check out the book called The Animator's Survival Kit. It's a really good book, covering all aspects of animation.

Never used it, but it seems interesting. But don't underestimate TVP, it's full of useful things, like a custom brush library, advanced onion skinning (or 'light table') and a lot of visual effects. The only problem I have with the effects is that you have to render them out and can't tweak them afterwards.

I was animating myself a few minutes ago but I got a little stressed out how jagged my works were in terms of movement. Nonetheless, thanks a lot for the tutorial, it didn't help too much when it came to knowing how to do it but it kind of made me feel a little better how much determination you have.

Beast! I really am amazed by how talented you are. I'm sure you know it, but you've got a wonderful gift!
I like the bit around 8:15 where the Sasuke doll looks like a balding middle-aged man. XD
