hehe nice!
how much are they supposed to turn? 30-45° sideways and the ammo belt would scrape over the tripod legs

Great model .. love the amount of detail put in to this .. but I can't seem to find a trigger anywhere or is it an automated turret of some sort?
anyways ..great job

wow dude...this is sickosville...once again. it's so bizarre, but i really love the fact that there is no texture mapping. it heightens the modeling and gives everything an Alien (the '79 Ridley Scott one) kind of feeling.

Your attention to detail on this and the m4 are rediculously good. Im impressed with your work all around.
Being unfamilliar with max, are these going to be hard to texture at all?

Thanks for the comments Pixeltron. I dont think it will be too difficult to texture. Just a little time consuming. Theres no rush I guess.

This is nothing short of absolutely amazing. This is the level of detail and design that powers even the best of today's films. The lighting is fantastic, but there's no trick here. It's the modelling that's working. Keep up this awesome work!

no problems. It's one of the best pre-mat models I have ever seen. It'd be a crime not to fav it.

Hey, thanks for the comments. The cables I just used a spline and made it renderable. For the bullets, I made one bullet and then copied it over abunch of times. I link them all up like a chain and rotated them into position. Theres other ways of doing it, like alining them to a spline. Well, I hope that helped a bit.

wow, it looks great, though im not exactly sure how having the two barrels work. does one fire until it gets too hot then it swiches barrels, or do they fire alternately...?

Thanks for the comments and the Fav+! Yeah the gun fire alternately but I'm not sure how they do it exactly. lol It's mainly for looks.

Wow. The models are awesome. I don't know if you've even started on textures yet, but I have some suggestions there. The guns ought to be darker. Also, the material looks kind of... plastic, i think. I'm not familiar (at all) with 3DS Max's material editor, but there's probably a way to make it look more metallic and less matte. The bullets should probably be the familiar gold-ish color. Also, just for style, i think the green on the screens should have scan lines. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments. I havent really started any texturing yet and they all are using the same default texture, except for the green screen. There is a grid like pattern on the screen but it may be a bit hard to see. I'm also still deciding if I should texture this model or not and continue working on another project first. Either way, thanks for the feedback. I'll keep those in mind if I do end up andding textures to it.
