Yep. I definitely have an obsession with hair!
This piece was inspired by the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), a phenomenon that I've always thought to be just beautiful and ethereal. I painted this piece following an idea of 'where the sky meets the sea', hence the strange glowing fishies and stars!

Absolutely beautiful, I love how the white at the bottom flows and swirls around like milk on her body. This is definitely northern lights-ish. I can see the white as representing snow and the hair of course being like the lights. It's like she's having a goddess like touch on the land and the cool breeze floating by her or something but that's just my crazy imagination.

Wow, this is amazing!! I think its so cool how you can take inspiration from something like the northern lights, and then put it into a human. I LOVE the coloring on the hair and the lighting on the face... and another thing that sticks out to me is how you used these sketchy looking lines on the hair and then really smoothed out shapes under her arm. This is incredible!!

Haha well I'm trying to be more open and creative with my ideas, so drawing inspiration from realistic things is always fun to experiment with! Just stoked that it turned out so well!
