This is a strange piece obviously. I did it as a commission at a convention in the hotel bathroom (so I wouldn't wake up my room mates)...he said to do whatever I wanted, so he got this. Those are supposed to be rose petals.Related content

Oo i really thought that the rose petals were red blood cells...hmmm...its veryyyy good though, i love the fact i'm going to have to sit and think about what the flaming heck it could mean..

hum could this be viewed how meaning full life could be for some an or maybe an abortion statement?
Many of us will have different views on this art work.. but what makes it great its the fact that it causes these ideas to bundle up in our little minds..
great work.. even if it was done on a bathroom as everyone was sleeping.. hehe did anyone brush their teeth with paint the next morning by mistake? .. hehehe

this makes an interesting statement about life, love, progression, change, growth and death. i am loving it! it is nicely filled with symbolism.

It doesn't matter what you intended or didn't intend the piece speaks for itself with its depth and emotion. This is one of my favorites of yours! The man must be very happy to have recieved such a tremendous work of art.

wow! do you use liquid resist or are those edges done by hand? this is really cool. i think the shading's a bit off on the belly, but it's a beautiful painting.

Yeah, used some miskit or something, can't remember....and it is an older painting, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is not as good as it could be!

I'll never understand the facination some people have with pregnant women. I've seen many commission pieces where people have asked the artist to draw the woman pregnant and usualy nude. I've never gotten one, but I always wondered what the facination was.

I love the background, it adds such a great flow to the feel of the picture. Her hair looks great too. Slightly weird concept but I love the way you've executed it.
