I meant to have this finished in time for New Year's, but it wasn't happening. Ah well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to one and all, have a wonderful new year of 2007. Here's to another year of pondering how to kiss without a mouth, and let this be a lesson that colouring fur is a pain in the ... er, tail.

Not only is this beautifully drawn so that it has the feel of grade-A animation, but knowing its Ax and that he's been able to move beyond Estrid after all this time is so nice to know. The lucky Aristh. He's got a good one there. Wonderful job.

I can't help but keep thinking about how weird this would be for Ax, considering he has no lips. Imagine another species that has short tentacles instead of a mouth, and they just start going berserk on your chin... how weird would that be?

Well probably because 1. It's all our secret fantasy (or not so secret in some cases.) 2. Is kinda hard to find high quality fanart, animorphs in particular, and you are really quality. 3. I'm trying to think of three but I'm just staring at the picture and I stopped thinking altogether. 4. Good art never dies!

I think it's more the hilarity of situation then the kiss itself. Ax seems taken aback, though apparently he's quiet the popular one with the ladies! The value comes from the new spin put on old things, such as how the idea that Andalites like food so very much (and, depending on how far you read in the books, the lengths they go to for it) are hilarious.

It's been awhile since I've read the books. I wish there was a version of the same story written for older readers, that would really interest me. Maybe a sequal-like thing. Orson Scott Card matures his books for readers in the series relating to Ender's Game.
