truce?
She was still in the process of forming when i forced Her onto the site
was thinking of either putting one of the signs behind Her head,
or one sign behind each wing, showing only a small portion...thoughts?

Hmmm... okay (but yours are still better)
Haha... she's pre-pubescent Samael?
Signs? You mean like the Mark of Samael/Seal of Metat(r)on and/or Halo of the Sun? Behind each wing would not leave much to be shown, would it?
Though on the other hand... right in the middle has been done before, too

I'd make the rest darker, except for the symbol Just add an extra shade of shading except there
I'm sure you'll find a way to make it work, though
Aww, thank you... I've got the lyrics complete now, though, but thank you I was silly, trying the same sites always, waiting for them to be added, and only now did a google search
"What is real? What is real? What is real?

yeah sorry, it was posted at the wrong place
really? which one, the game or movie? or game 5 now i guess... though that's based more off the movie then game 2...

No worries It happens, I'm just glad I could make sense of the thingy
The film one... it's less flat, you know? More of a challenge... and I think the helmets at least of the film and Homecoming are now pretty much identical Though I just found out form the making of the film, that them's some sort of pointed grid of bolts and not a mesh (like I always thought and drew) on the front panels in the film... while in what I've seen of the new game, it might be grating again
But yeah, I like to think it's also of the new game
And I'm also making the Great knife, though that is the 2nd game one... as accurate as possible, with measurements taken directly off the original designs

Kernim In reply to Nautical-Nieky [2008-09-09 19:51:53 +0000 UTC]
that sounds awesome the new ph nkife looks a bit over-done..right?
now you can be PH and James at the same time
...you will be posting your work for us to see right?
i've seen some game play on youtube. it looked scary. i prefer long melee weapons...not hand to hand combat...

Kernim In reply to Kernim [2008-09-16 20:08:20 +0000 UTC]
i agree, the effects good the monsters were also made by Tatopoulos:exsited: that's what made me want to watch the movie to begin with...
and indeed, you're not crazy. , i only have a computer, guess i won't be playing it much either...
lucky, i can't find silent hill anything in the stores i go to
im also working on a costume for halloween. still need a few things, however it looks more and more like i'll have to turn to the old paper cutout method.
at least the weapons don't break in the second i really like my planki think the closest thing i have to a weapon in my room is a foot long nail...shoot, no long melle weapons to start me off with me.
i think one of the weapons James should have gotten was a pillow.

Indeed it does! Like an over-grown army knife/dagger, maybe fitting with Alex' story (which is okay, it's still the PH seen from his POV (for whatever reason) which allows for a personal detail or two, but) I still prefer the more fitting, original blade, more like a guillotine's blade, fitting the executioner's background of PH better.
Yes... oooor... what if, like Travis is (possibly) the Butcher, James is PH!! Then I'd still be both... but better!
And of course I shall show my work! Though I have a little surprise project present for my girlfriend I need to finish first... to... maybe Sunday I can get some more done, if this project advances well enough
Yeah... the gameplay's excellent indeed! Though you can pick weapons like axes still, no? (though the bit I saw, when you have to select 'hack' when using your weapon to hack open doors is a bit annoying) I prefer mÊlÃĐe weapons, too... though in SH:0 (where I never got the hang of the throwing/breaking weapons like the TV (so Travis has been carrying about 7 TVs, 5 crates, a biiig jar of medical alcohol all the while
)) it's handy to be able to use your fists still, in case all other weapons break on you

Kernim In reply to Nautical-Nieky [2008-09-11 21:17:51 +0000 UTC]
that's a good point; though his image may change, his purpose stays the same. guess James didn't need a really scary PH, Alex on the other hand... he's quite a bit tougher and would need something more scary
that thought has crossed my mind many times.(even drew James and wrote "James Sunderland or PH?" next to him)that could have been a cool ending to get: after killing the Mary-monster you double over and blacking out, the next seen would have a new PH(still clean) rising in that room in the labyrinth and the green jacket in the background.
ow, letmeh see *tries peeking behind you*
good luck with your projects
there are still axes but the first weapon is not long *cough* knife*cough* hem... i'd prefer to start with a plank with nails as for the fists, i'd pefer not to touch what i'm killing, ya know? let the plank do the talking...but that's just me...

Nautical-Nieky In reply to Kernim [2008-09-13 13:26:29 +0000 UTC]
Indeedy! And that's an even better point! Though what would that mean for the film? Rose doesn't need that much scariness, when she's scared enough already by the grey child alone
Would that mean it's more like he appears to big, tough cop Cybil? Ah, no!
I'm stupid... in the film his purpose is sort of different... he's the punisher of the town's self-inflicted Hell, not of the visitors
And speaking of the film, though it has little to do with the conversation... I seriously admire the simplicity of some of the film's effects, which serve for all the more genuine effects
Like I didn;t realise the first time I saw it, but in the making of, you see them actually tying the loose skin around a down-sized skinless Anna puppet to be ripped off by PH, and though I'm sure they used some digital effects to change from the actress to the dummy, it makes you appreciate the effect more, still, no?
Oh my Then I'm not crazy for thinking so... and that would be such an awesome ending
even moreso than the SH:0 bad ending!!
Maybe we'll have somesuch fate for Alex in SHV, though
That'd be waaaaay cool
(even though I won't play it for years to come, most probably, due to lack of PS3)
Oh! I read the Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward comic, yesterday And it's awesome, too... I'd flipped through the pages at the coic book store, and already thought I saw PH there, but while reading, nearly reaching the end, I hadn't seen him yet... but then...! Only 2 panels, but he really makes the comic completely on his own
Actually I'm working on the Helmet between comments, thank you And you good luck on Samael, and what else you have in store for us
Yeah, or start with the classic steel pipe! But yeah... long mÊlÃĐe weapons come first, then ranged weapons, then fists, but I'm glad there's fists still, when everything else is broken & empty
Even in real life, though... when it's dark & I'm home alone & I hear some noise as if PH is hiding in the dark under the stairs again, I reach for the first long, heavy, handleable tool I've got around... usually my guitar nowadays (though I have a blunt katana on the opposite site of my room) before heading out to investigate

i agree, the effects were well done it was the effects which made me want to watch the movie in the first place(i was on Tatopoulos' website when i saw that he did the effects)
no, you're not crazythough my parents think i am
i won't play it for a while also...i only have a computer...
lucky you, i've looked in all the book stores around me and i can't find anything with silent hill..
hope the helmet is going well, i'm working on something in my computer art class right now, when i'm done i'll post it
lol, looks like i'm off to a bad start then, the closest thing to a weapon in my room is a foot long nail...no long melee weapon to start me off with...
i 'm sure i sent this already

Nautical-Nieky In reply to Kernim [2008-09-19 19:30:06 +0000 UTC]
Yeah.... I was very curious how they'd realize the reality shifting effects in the film, when I read that the Silent Hill thing revolved around that... and finally seeing the making of, too, it's even more brilliant!
Yeah... my parents already thought so, so... Ow
Poor you with only a PC... there's no PC SH:0, either, is there?
Oh, wow!
You haven't a comic book store there, either?
I'm sure you'll get to read them some day, for sure, though... though finding anything besides the film and games of Silent Hill is hard indeed... and often expensive (at least here) I'd love a novelization...
The helmet was halted last weekend because I shorted out my glue gun and the electricity in half the house
I only just got a new one... and I haven't worked on it since... but my Great Knife is coming along nicely
The wood of the handle's pretty much done... shape, colour, where the blade should fit in... just not the bolts & I need to still spraypaint the plexiglass blade
But... a foot long... wait... I'm decimal here... that's like three fists long for you? Not much more than a big dagger? *hands you a biiiiiig drip stand to use*
(I only got it once, though )
