Description
*Download for full size* (but I think the Full size is too big)When I uploaded this tutorial for the first time it was deleted, because Chipp Zanuff was not drawn by me. Now I was LOOKING at two Kyo sprites and did theese "elementals". I repeat, I was just LOOKING at the sprites.
This is my first (and maybe last) tutorial. It can show you how to make non-random lightning and fire. Hope you like it. ^^

Hmm, I like this, however, I'm using a program called Gimp, and had to improvise a bit, however, I still feel I may have missed something. Either way, Thank you.

I got about step 5 when something went wrong. I duplicated the layer 2 times and when I clicked "Difference Clouds" the white turned to black and and black turned to white. D:

What do you mean by that? Are you getting the result from step 8? The difference clouds's job is to make the lightning appear between the black and the white.

Yes I understand that but it didn't. It just inverted the colors.

It shouldn't invert the colors... I tryed it now and I got the right result. My version of photoshop is CS3. Maybe you're not using photoshop?

this is wonderful man! I always wanted to do this stuff, but it was either way too involved (generate 3d models of lightning outside PS, and random at that), or too fake looking. this it perfect!
