Because even Queens sometimes need a Guardian Angel.

My latest piece touching on a possible romance between the Guardian and the Queen.

I will try and pre-empt some questions I think will be asked.

Lets go:

Q1. Why is Knuckles 'Knuckle Less'
A. Because its got to be annoying to have the spikes out all the time right? In my own personal version, they can be retracted similar to Wolverine. Blame it on the Chaos Emeralds.

Q2. Why is he carrying Sally Acorn?
A. Because he can? Possible sprained ankle or something. Make up your own story.

Q3. Why are they so humanised?
A. Artistic licence. Trying out something different isn't a bad idea all the time.

Q4. What is with the robes?
A. Knuckles is part of the brotherhood along with his ancestors. I imagine them almost a little bit like Jedi. Hence the robes.

Please feel free to let me know what you think. The actual colour of the line art was quite easy but I went through 19 different versions of the pose before I finally went with this one. My art folder on my computer for this one is full with off cuts and dismissed ideas.

Also the first deviation I have tried to use the original idea of clothing for Sally. Like the boots? I do...
