an elegant pose; captured beautifully without distracting background; wonderful contrast of her skin tones with all that white; a graceful beauty

Thanks Elena! Ummm, I *like* squirrels. We have lots here though I've never quite gotten used to seeing them hang out in palm trees haha they're very adaptable.

very graceful, from the sweep of her arms to the curves of her legs! The model standing on pointe smooths the picture out a lot, as compared to someone standing on tiptoes, due to the angles. Her pose guides my attention along her body, as does the cloth! I think the choice of a white cloth/clothes/background works very well in this picture.

This image reminds me of a short poem -- one of my favorites:

Ein Traum, ein Traum ist unser Leben
Auf Erden hier.
Wie Schatten auf den Wolken schweben
Und schwinden wir.
Und messen unsre trΓ€gen Tritte
Nach Raum und Zeit;
Und sind (und wissen's nicht) in Mitte
Der Ewigkeit...

Johann Gottfried Herder

Google will bring up a translation ... basically, we're in the middle of eternity. That thought and the Herder poem were the first things to come to mind when I saw/felt this.

A loose translation by Maverick Philospher:

Herder on the Dream of Life

A dream, a dream is our life
Here upon the earth.
In a sea of shadows we drift and disappear
Like whitecaps on the surf.

Our sluggish steps we measure
By space and temporality;
Moving in the midst (though we know it not)
Of eternity . . .

I love that!

Herder's poem perfectly fits your photograph IMHO -- and visa versa. Superb work! And such a display of talent from you and your model.

That is a quite a fine poem IMHO. I really don't like any of the English translations ... that's why I suggested finding one to your liking.

What a wonderful comment, thank-you! Caylea is indeed very ethereal, almost 6' tall and moves so gracefully. So glad you enjoy it!

I just think that it's a wonderful moment of Art when such a beautiful model meets the artist who can show her true beauty to the world. Thank you once more for your work.
