Thanks so much. I will give you credit by name and link back to your page. It will be awhile coz I am only just starting the project. Bought the .com on Dec 10, started page 1 on Dec 12 so I have a long way to go. I will keep you posted.

Great symbolism. Love the contrast, who did you got it that way? did you pushed the tri-x?

Thank you...actually just the opposite. I've found that if you underexpose the neg by -1 then when you go to a higher grade in printing it takes on a level of contrast that doesn't blow out your highlights. There was also some burning in of the background and hands. Thanks for asking!

Interesting! Thank you for sharing, I will try it too! Usually to get such contrast I push the film 2 stops (technically it's underexposure as well, but I compensate during the development, not during the printing) and the neg gets more grainy and moody, but it's different from what you achieved.
Thanks!

I particularly love what you chose to have sharpened and blurred in this piece. Great work again.

Thank you....though that's just the lens I shot with. Medium format film at f1.4. No sharpening or blurring added...

I guess I should rephrase what I mean. I meant, what you chose to focus on and what you chose to leave out of focus.

Heh...all fine. Thank you...
I think I'm just a bit overly sensitive when I think people feel it's done digitally.

Yeah, I understand. If individuals think (or heaven forbid, SAY) something to the effect of, "PFff, I could do this," and whip it up on the computer it kind of cheapens the art of photography. Not to mention the skill required.
