Hey, I'm well aware that there's things that we can't possibly know. I'm not completely opposed to the concept of God.
What I can't stand is the way people manipulate God to be whatever they want it (I refer to a neutral god with neutral pronouns) to be. I think religion is just a man made concept to rule over and oppress other people, as it has throughout history. Even though it's not too bad today since it has no political power anymore, it still creates a sense of superiority throughout its members and causes them to look at outsiders with disdain. It has caused many wars and divided humans despite "Thou shall not kill" and "Love thy neighbor". Just the idea of an exclusive club that pretty much says "hey listen to everything we say and don't think for yourself or you're going to hell, buddy" makes me sick to my stomach.

I wont deny there has been an are people that abuse religion in the way you say. At least these days most of us are perfectly nice people that wont bother you

That's kinda what happens when the bible is up for interpretation and not exactly super straightforward. We end up with all these different denominations and churches and a lot of them think they're the "one true way". Honestly, anyone can use the bible for any reason and pull things out of context and warp meanings to prove their point. People used the bible to justify slavery. Is slavery morally good? No.Β

hey man, some people are religious, that's how we deal with life. i'm muslim, and while i agree that you have a right to your opinion, please have a little sensitivity! most religious people don't believe everyone of a different religion is going to hell. what matters is what's in one's heart. : )

I know, and I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't have a problem with most religious people, but there are rotten applies in the bunch, too.

i mean you are your soul, you just left your body in the world
i believe more in,
you do something bad you will get punished for it
we shall not be greedy and try to be superior in the world because we are all the same.
everyone has a destiny, some people destiny is to change other people mindΒ
\we stop being perfect when we left the eden.
about those kind of people who died in tragic accident, will be judged by their actions on the planet/world
and they will be happy, clean, with no pain.

that's the whole thing about faith - it's not faith if you use your eyes. heaven and hell don't exist in this world, but we believe they do exist. as for why it matters where your soul goes - the way most religious people think of souls is basically our consciousness is our soul; we are basically souls piloting our bodies.Β
as for disasters - that's how life works. we all die, one way or another. we believe that though life is hard in this world, through good deeds, we can attain a better afterlife.
idk, for a lot of people religion is how we deal with life. i'm no religious expert tbh but if you have any questions i'm open, i don't mean to be rude, i just wanted to explain : )

at first i though you were attacking me, because.. im used to, everyone attacks christians and they get hurt and when a real nice person ask you kinda make fool of yourself for thinking they want to hurt you
