Description
One image from a chibi Calendar I am making to sell on Deviant Art. The Calendar will feature all 8 of my element goddess' (From my manga) for each month - plus four new goddess who are made for the calendar only. Once complete, the Calendar will be on sale at DA as well as individual prints of each girl which will be up once they've been submitted.This is Moho, goddess of Steel. Representing the month of: February.
Here's the first of the four Calendar-only goddess'. Moho (Extra points if you get the name meaning!), who is the goddess of Steel. Originally, it was going to be 'Metal', which is an actual element, but I found 'Steel' had a better ring to it. I love her little ATTEMPT to smile here. XD
Want to know a little more about her? here's some facts:
* She's actually related to the second set of goddess, and is pretty much an outcast...the others don't really talk about her much.
* She's a real tough-nail (excuse the semi-pun). She cares about no-one and is a major loner...also very mean.
* Unlike Johari (Who's also tough, but has her soft spots - like her lil' sis Rosa) Moho has no weakness, it's almost like she has no feelings at all.
* Her outfit is a one-piece, but ends like a pair of shorts, rather than the dress/skirt that alot of the other girls have.
* She and another (calendar-only) goddess are the only goddess' to have two main colours in their colour scheme instead of just one - Moho's is light grey and rusty red.
* She uses chains as weapons.

I reaaaaallly adore how shes trying to force out a smile, and she just looks like shes trying ohso hard <3 Its just adorable. And her colours are so lovely all together. I love the warm greys and reds <3 And the details on the chains are really gorgeous. AND FEETS <3<3<3

The second I saw the pic, I thought to myself, "ooh, she looks tough!" (which you said in your artist's note, which I read next X D)
Love the hair. The sharp angle parts and the way its rooted (growing from her forehead) adds a pointyness that works really well for the piece. I think she's my favorite of what I've seen so far ^_^

She's my favorite - but question? If she's supposed to have a cold and mean dispostion why is she smiling? Wouldn't it be more fitting to have her at least have a 'Imma kick yo' ass now' smile?

She was meant to have a sort of...grimace. Like she's TRYING to smile, but an-able to really pull one off...or at lease, a decent looking one. It shows up a bit better in full-view.

Wohoo, a totally new goddess! I love the design, especially the colors.. red and grey look so stylish together, very classy! But I can't help myself, this chibi looks way too cute to not be nice.. maybe I should see a large picture, so I'm not distracted by the cute figure (*hint*hint*)
Anyways, I also adore her hair, cause you have that special way of shading that hair.. I don't know what it is, but it's brilliant!! Lovely job ^__^

But is she is quite the cutie, isn't she? The red and grey work well together, and I just noticed that her skin tone is slightly different from the majority of the other goddess. And the little chain earrings are such a good touch.

XD SORTA complicated, but I'll try to explain...
Originally, the world only had four goddess' for the four main elements...Fire, Water, Earth and Air (all related as sisters). It was later discovered, however, that while those four main elements were the main blocks that held the world together, there's also all the smaller, yet still important, elements - Lightning, Stone, Wood and Ice...these four were related as sisters, and to the original four goddess - they're related as cousins.
This goddess is related to the 2nd group (smaller elements), but is like the loner and doesn't really belong. There's also another goddess who only slightly clings onto their family tree.
As for the final two goddess...well...their connection is a secret right now...but all will be revealed when I put them up.

Cute, although I admit her legs (and in some cases, her face) make it look like she has to use the bathroom, but it's still adorable. Chains as weapon with near emotionless feelings: SUH-weet. She'd be the ultimate warrior, heh.

I love your style of drawing and coloring =3 And is Moho derived from that layer in the Earth's layers? The Mohorividich or something like that? In my class we'd call that layer the Moho so yah xD

Awesome! Febuary is my birth month. I was really wondering what sort of goddess you would choose.
And yeah, steel does sound better than "metal" (people will get the idea, like wind/air).
The only problem is that it reminds me of "Krom", the god of steel in Conan the Barbarian
