Pretty much based the temple on different parts of Rafei's concept art for it, mish-mashing them about.I did a Jak 2 sketch as well but I want to re-work it as Jak's face is completely off.
TPL is still my fave game of all, though. Jak X gets points for the fun clothing designs, and Jak 2 for the great story. :3

There's a tutorial on how I did this image from start to finish in my gallery. :3 Pretty much it was just different HB heavy leads on sketch paper. I usually do a very rough layout and finalise the charcters first, then tidy up and extend the background after them.

I have to say TPL is my favourite because it's the only one I own, and the only one I've played (minus about 2 hours of Jak 2). But it was definitely my favourite. TPL was the second game I got for my PS2. On a totally unrelated note, I absolutely love the bolded part of your signature.

I know, right? I'm disapointed with the fame in a few ways too. I hate how only Jak, Daxter and Kiera are the only original characters in the game. What happen to Torn, Ashlign, Sig, and them all? (Poor Erol is dead for good but who's to say he can come back again? lol)
I mean I like how he can use Eco powers again but I'm dissapointed that they got rid of Dark and Light Jak altogether.

man Kai, that's awesome! makes me wanna break out TPL right now! I think it's a really fun game as well, and I'm pretty sure I've had this conversation with you before in that the other games, while fun have exceedingly annoying bits that stop the game; but this one is fluid and fun.
I'm loving the background so much. it promises to be real lush and gorgeous!
just one wee thing, if you were to look into it; I realised that Daxter is leaning against Jaks leg, if he's doing this it would be better if you leaned his weight more into Jak's, especially in the top area. at the moment it just looks like he's grabbing Jak's pants.

see the thing is, I REALLY like that pose! that's what's so annoying. all the proportions are PERFECT! and the balance is right, it could just stand to be tweeked a little. tell ya what, I'll do a little sketch and I'll show it to ya tomorrow, see what you think.

TPL was the whole reason I got a PS2 as well. :3
It kinda depends on the pic. For this one I already knew what I wanted for the background, but I usually always work on the characters first so that I can get them the way I want them (they are the focus point, after all) and then work on the background once I'm satisfied with them.
Other pics where I'm just concentrating on getting a character out, I'll sometimes add in a background later if I feel it needs one. I guess whichever way I'm working, I always do the characters first, and background second.
