I suppose I'd better MAKE MY POINT on this page! XD Usually, I like to leave almost nothing on the comment section - so people can enjoy the comic but...since this is an issue people never stop talking about (to the point where I just want to scream: AGH! I get it! Shut up already!)...here is my final word on the matter.
Read before you go into a comment about Keira's History! And Jak-game spoilers, so now whining about not being warned.
This summary came to be WELL before I even STARTED this fancomic. Yep...waaayyyy before then. It only got backed up more when Jak X came around. Keira's one year younger than Jak and Daxter (this is official - not fan created) and thus in order to be Samos' flesh-and-blood child, she would have had to have been born one year after Jak (well, duh!)...which means if that DID happen, Jak would have had to have been... (given also the time needed of 9 months for a baby to come along...add in a few weeks at least for the time little Jak was running around the Jak 2 game...)...less than a year old.
LITTLE JAK IS SO NOT THAT YOUNG IN JAK 2!!
Granted we could go into obvious things like prehaps their kind spend less than 9 months inpregnated. Prehaps there are other ways (for the love of god PLEASE don't bring up the whole 'reproduced by budding' issue again! Yes, it's funny and I love what she did with it but...some people seem to take it beyond a joke. It's not literal, people! @__@)
Point being...after going over it many-a-times with friends and fellow Jak fans in certain communities and such...we've figured adpotion was the only (sane) way it could be. Truthfully, I'd love for Keira to be Samos' flesh-and-blood child - but what's to say there's something wrong with adoption anyway?
Samos LOVES Keira. He's a protective father and there's no doubt about it (see - Jak X, 'Daddy I want to race' talks between the two).
So I took some time off to wonder about how many pages I was going to do on this subject and figured 'well...there's no need to go technical 20-page 'the adoption of Keira'. She's here, Samos adopted her, he loves her - end of story.
Prehaps I might do a back-story on where he got her later. However, there's plenty of other stories I want to tell right now, so that will be laid-back in the mean time.

And...Gol gets a random mention (um...yay? XD). Only two pages until Chapter 3 is done - and we start the next story up.

Yeah everybody I know who is a fan of Jak and Dax has come to that conclusion as well theirs nothing wrong with adopting a child ^-^ I mean whos knows maybe Samos knew Keria's mother and she already had Keira and something must have happen to her so know he taking care of her just an idea don't kill me!

Man oh man, I love the detail and the variety of tones in this... Keira's design is gorgeous. ;o; I love her face; she's looks so squishable and adorable! <3 Especially with the little pigtails! Sandover bebes are utter winnage. <3 It doesn't get much better than this. I dig your version of Samos, too... He's becoming very stylized overall. He's pimpin' those coke bottle glasses, yo... and for some reason I can't get over how you draw his feet. XD It's awesome! >3 And let's not forget Daxter's kiddish chubby cheekies in that bottom panel. Mf, MF! *jigs*

But, about the whole Keira being adopted-thing I kinda disagree with. I mean, Keira does share some of Samos' characteristics; like the green color scheme for her hair (highlights) and eyes. ND even said that. Why make a doujinshi and change the character's relationships?

Asking me a question like that is simlar to all those doujinshi out there who make yaoi and such with straight characters...it's called 'fan-comic' for a reason - it's not official.
But as for my reasons - it's to do with the timing of dates and births and such in the games. Only NDI has the answers (or needs to figure them out themselves). So unless they plan to let us know in future games - the fandom is always going to have its own share of views.

Never really questioned how Kiera got to be Samus' daughter. I've seen and heard many speculations from fans (some weirder than others..) but other than his flesh-and-blood child, adoption sounds pretty reasonable

Funny... I never noticed before this page that Samos's hair changed. 
My theory is... Samos met a lady with a daughter and something happened to her. Based on Samos saying, "just like your mother," in JakX. So, yeah, adoption seems the most plausable theory.
Once again, this is looking great. Though the leaves in the top-right-hand corner don't seem to fit quite as well with the rest of the page. But that's just me.
Hehe... Samos's beard seems to be comming along quite nicely. I just love how hairy you've made him.

so sweet hun! i really love your use of flowers in your panels, i've been noticing them alot, they just add this extra flair to the feel of the comic, especially if someone like Kiera is in it...with those huge ass scary eyes of hers..aahhhhhhh!

*nods and agrees* For the longest times, I always thought Kiera was adopted because of Jak II. It's the most logical explantation that can currently be given. I doubt Naughty Dog at this point will ever answer Kiera and Samos' relationship. What we do know is, yes, like you said, the two love each other very much. Any who, very cute pic. Love Kiera's abosulte adorable appeal. Her first appearance towards Jak and Daxter is certainly a lot nicer then my approach with Kiera. Hee.
And yay, Gol mention. I swear he and Maia are so ignored.
