Collaboration with Tanya is awesome and keeps surprising me with fun pictures to ink and colour! :3
The sketch she sent me of Ezio could have gone either the AC2 or Brotherhood way, so I decided to alter it to match up with Brotherhood's design...Which means a bit too many details even for MY liking.
But it means the rockin' beard too. Ezio's doing good for a guy a couple of years off of 50.
For those of you who have not caught up, I am in LOVE with the Assassin's Creed games - most of all 2 and Brotherhood. Ezio's really made his way up into one of my all-time fave video game characters.
I admit I got a bit lazy with the background in the end. I've been so busy with things these past few weeks I wanted to finish it up - so things could have been better in some places, but DAMN if I didn't have fun with this!
...Though I do want to go in and fix the bad way the black for his boots and pants scanned in. >_>

Man- I always love to see the collabs between you and Enolainslave. Your colors and her linework are just made for each other. Your colors are always so lively and ground the picture while her linework is so precise and to the point. So much

That game certainly does take leaps of faith. It's beyond me how a fall of 100 feet can be safely broken by a little pile of hay. = P
So many details in this picture... I am really impressed. You can even see the bricks in the buildings faaaar below. And the building Ezio is standing in is gorgeous. And shiny.
His costume looks amazing! All the detailing, especially on his belt-buckle-thingymabobby. The pants and boots look fine to me, too. One thing that catches my eye is all the wrinkles in his shirt sleeves... they look so natural. If I tried something like that, it would be a total mess of scribbles. XD
And I love his expression. You made the scary guy who runs around killing people for their horses look positively cute.

Can you explain to me a little thing that I donΒ΄t get? I get the whole Renaissance time parts but... why have I seen in deviant some fan art of the AssassinsΒ΄s Creeds with the characters in our modern time

The premise of all of the games is that the year is 2012, and you are actually playing as Desmond Miles. However, Desmond is initially forced (but in AC2 & Brotherhood he does it by his own will) into this virtual machine called the Animus. The Animus has the power to unlock genetic memories of a person's ancestors. So in other words, Desmond goes back into and virtually lives the lives of his ancestors Altier during the Crusades (from AC1) and Ezio during the Italian Renaissance (AC2 and Brotherhood). If you're still confused, watch a few walkthroughs of AC1 and you'll get it.

I like the colours of this piece. It reminds perfectly of the comic book scene. I do like the detail both of you have done for this piece and it shows such vibrant atmosphere.
