Yes, I ended up colouring it in the end. XPI'd done the reds and wanted to just leave it like that - when I showed Alex the scan, she suggested I do the rest in grey-scale with a black BG. Thus, the title change (and no, it's NOT Dark Jak...only just figured some people might think that and start wondering where his horns were. XD).
Hmmm...base of the scarf was with a red Tria marker, then I let loose with the prisma and Faber Castell pencils (warm, cool and French greys! Lotsa choices).

The scarf, look at the scarf!!! It stands out really well. And the grey tone image of Jak gives the whole image a very dramatic appearance. The colouring is very neat. I always make a mess when I use colouring pencils!!

This is realy cool.....i did a headshot of him-the pic of him from pg. 155 in da jak 3 stratigie guide- and i only colored in his eyes..............I like urs though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very cool!

SIN CITY!!!
Well, the coloring style remains me greatly of that film (well, without the overdone shadows). Kinda creepy since I was gonna do the same with Jak, color black and white except for the scarf and eyes which would retain their appriorate colors. Anywho, it's a striking color, black/white/red. Orange feels slightly misplaced, but that's just me.
This would also go great with that joke, "What's red, white, and black?" A newspaper? "No, Jak, silly!"

I'll try to comment on something OTHER than the red, since everyone else beat me too it... -_- I like his facial structure, makes him look somewhat pouty (I know I didn't spell that right...) He looks so rugged with all the ripped clothing. *favs*

i love this kind of coloring.where only one thing is colored. it realy draws your attention to it. and the red of his scarf was a good choice. and, i wouldnt have thought it was Dark Jak unless his eyes were all blacked out. ^.-

I didn't think it was Dark Jak for a moment -- I love the focal point of his red scarf! (That method was used in 'Schindler's List' if I remember correctly)

What I meant by that in 'Schindler's List,' there was a little girl that was the focus of attention in an all black-and-white film; while in a huge croud of people, her coat was bright red. That's as far as I can go; I don't wanna spoil it, really...
How was Sin City, tho'? I keep hearing it has amazing special effects, but I can't hardly believe they would actually produce an adult-only comic book series into a full-fleshed movie film (another indication that makes me feel Hollywood's goin' down th' drain in story ideas... no offence, that is, if you like the movie yourself

The dramatic red really does look very good. Any other colour would detract from the picture, and the reds highlight the pissed off expression nicely.
