Full View and....the picture looks better! Yay!I REALLY need to point out that I know some of the boarders came out sorta...strange. Though it's fine in the original, I had to try and fix-up what the scanner messed up on. Fixed some of it, but other parts are just...well...blah! XP
Anyhow....Daxter FINALLY gets himself some pannel-art!
I figure this is also a new submission for the Daxter Fan Listing because I want to replace another picture that Jess has already put up there of mine.
Kai no likey silly old pic of her and Dax. XPI love the original that I have - it has pretty sparkles on it from the gel pen that Alice gave me, but my scanner can't pick up glitter, so it's not obvious here - it's in some of the sparkles in the dark eco swirls, and is also the mark around Daxter in the final pannel - scanner just showed the marker underneath it.
eye scan: Figured I should explain this one. During in-game cutscenes, Daxter's eyes are nothing but a solid blue oval with a white highlight (ie - no pupil) although the actual renders of him made by the NDI team actually showing him with pupils, I love the lack of them in the game cutscenes...just make it more 'ottsely' I guess. Thus, I made the ottsel part of the eye scan smaller and pupil-less compared to the human side.
teehee - only one person pointed out that they saw his tail coming through on the inks version. :3

I actually wasn't looking at the title and figured out what the Precursor text said. Then I saw the title and felt silly that I put effort where effort wasn't needed.

Interesting.... Someone else who knows how to properly use the written Precursor language... Most of the time when I see Precursor writing in art they just randomly arrange the letters. It's nice to see someone who knows that the letters actually MEAN something.

This picture is done so nice. Longer i watch it, better i see all the complexness of swirls reaching like a tentacles of some daemonic creature from the depths to grab this innocent young boy.
Is this a blessing or a curse? Good question, on which, maybe, only Precursors can give an answer. Was this his destiny?
Dax looks so terrified and lonely, still, we know he embraced his state and carries it out very well - "Hmmm... being an ottsel might be useful after all"
I admire you even more, knowing this was done with only material media - i think was extreme difficult to do this without color smudging/dripping/mixing. Details are fabulous - elaborate endings of Eco swirls, wrinkles on clothes. And that eye transition is brilliant idea. Amazing - great work!

This is surely an intresting concept. (pluuuuuuuuuuuussssss it's Daxxie, so yah know imma gunna luffves it. ^_^) hehe FINALLY Dax gets his, well deserved, panel artsies!! huzzah! :3

Urg jealousy overwhelms :0 It justβ¦ buffets and prances and jabs me! But in a lovely good way, because I adore everything XD I DO I DO I DO! And this was long overdue, because SOMEONE needed an all-Dax montage as such. Youβve done bunches of Jak ones (which I fluff over, oh such fluff), so we figure- ne, YEY DAX! X3 And Iβve been wanting to do a REAL Dax-tranformation pic FOR FOREVER, so you fill my need in the loveliest of ways! <3
I will never get over how you draw Dark Eco. Everytime I draw it, I get soβ¦ STUMPED with how to put what color where. But you make is like some sort of writhing, thread-like entity that SWALLOWS THINGS. And believe me, thatβs kinda scary o_o *le shivvuh* All the purples are very soothing but ominous with their pink-er counterparts, and the linesβ¦ URGH, so liquid and fantastic! Ive always loved hands. So that shot with the hand sends me into joygasms X_X YEEEKS LOVELY!
The way youβve laid it out is pure art! β¦ Well duh, it IS art, but its VERY ARTY! XD The way that Dax is part of the picture, but beneath all the framed ones is just wonderful. And Daxβs EXPRESSSIOOONN! *.* It melts me! MELTS ME I SAY~! He looks soo simplyβ¦ WORRIED, and that makes me giggle so hardly! His big blue eyes- definitely melt-worthy. The chunkier, scratchier color (and they ney insult, NO! X_X Itβs a style, and a style that I practically worship! XD) on the little Daxter has to be my favorite. As does the little Dax have to be my favorite XD THE GELLY PEN SPARKLES TOO! Thet look stunning and eye-catching (but simple!) against the pure black, and thatβs perfect. Kinda like heβs floating all by his lonesome in a night sky @o@ And thatβs what Dark Eco does, ney? URG, the artfulness of it just floors me! His small shine in his eye, and the sad expression is so unlike him! MAKES ME GO WEEPY X_X But his little crumpled pose is just so HIM! (I so dearly want to see him, like, sleeping in JakX. Like, curled up on a pillow, or Jakβs chest, like a real Ottsel would do? PLEASE NDI FEED MY FAN-NEEDS. *froth*) The purple lets us see his contour and all the furry frizzes you wouldnβt get to see in all-black, and EET BE POIFECT.
The little dabble-dots of purple and white make me love even more. The Dark Eco Sparklies!

I adore the purple swirls, you have such detail <3 The coloring just catches my eye X3 I like the way you color eyes, I do them so plain, you have so much depth with the way you color them. I'm a huge fan of reall media and you use it to perfection.

There wasn't supposed to be any 'border' on the left because it's a pannel, not a border. Since it's comic-style in theme, you don't need to have pannels framed - sometimes they touch the edge of the paper.
