Much to his surprise, the queen had offered Kovu a bath--something he hadn't had in a very long time. Shy at first, the little cub hesitantly accepted; she WAS a pridelander after all. Yet, so was Kiara. And she was nothing like those "evil" lions his mother had described.

Absorbed in the rythmic movement of the queen's tongue across his dust-filled fur, he almost didn't notice the golden cub approaching him. "Ah!" Kovu suddenly cried, his cheeks flushing scarlet, "Kiara, what are you doing here?!"

She merely cocked her head to the side, giggling. "Oh Kovu," she chuckled, "there's nothing to be embarrassed about! I take baths too, you know!"

An older pic, but it was one I meant to finish months ago. This takes place shortly after Kovu goes with the royal family back to the Pridelands after the river incident.
