Description Yay, I finally got around to making this thing!

I hope it helps. Honestly, it was hard to think of what to put in it. Maybe it's the loopy from the medicine... or something.

I totally agree that backgrounds are a pain, but I see their use... so just gotta grit my teeth and work on...

Very nice tutorial! This will help me out quite a bit. You pointed out some things I'd probably never have picked up on myself.

Thankk you so much :_DD
oh, and sometimes floating chibi-like heads talking are used for the characters to add a little extra-talk in their conversation. It's just that your drawing reminded me of one i've seen in a manga^^
never should use em for serious talks though :I

Perhaps drawn correctly, they can be done well, but it's something that is difficult to make work.
A completely blank panel with floating chibi heads just looks silly.
But I have seen professional artists draw the chibi head inside the word bubble, to fit in a character's dialogue in a space where the character wasn't showing. But the panel still wasn't blank. XD

Actually, I found this tutorial VERY helpful!
-_- Figuring out panels is one of the many things preventing me from getting into a few comics I'd like to make. So thanks. : )

Tutorial time, whoohoo!
I like it a lot, it's simple yet informative. I know a few thing about panneling, but mostly it's from observation.
Also I would like to reccomend books on the subject by Scott McCloud, that guy rocks.

I just read one, can't remember wich one. It was a spanish translation.
But daaaa-yum. After reading it, I couldn't make a darn line in the paper without thinking twice! XD

Well, now I'm kinda scared to read it... 0_o

dalf-rules In reply to Kikirini [2009-03-10 03:11:07 +0000 UTC]

Well, it was more or less like "Ok, so, how should I do this, which angle is the best? Should this panel be bigger? Maybe if I do this line here to --- nononono, erase that, erase that!!"
I tried to apply everything at once, after just one reading. So I didn't got too far ^^U
After a few reads, the stuff "goes into your subconscious self" or something, and you don't think a lot about how to do things, you just do it.
