Introducing the Yorktown Class Capital ship. Despite it being in service for over 70 years the Yorktown has proved its self as a venerable and hardy command and combat ship. It's most recent refit has seen it receive new armour plates in line with the rest of the fleet as well as better Phasers and enhanced sensor suite. Her longevity stems from being originally designed without shields in mind so her space frame is unusually resistant to punishment compared to the rest of the fleet.
In game she's the starting Capital ship and because of her large volume will be able to colonise planets.
