Description
Finally, the final model (textured and somewhat lit) for Prototype Jack. I used Tekken 2's P Jack as a basis for my version of him. Textures and proportions are slightly realistic, but still faithful to the original. What made it really difficult was the fact that everything had to be modelled as if it were a project itself. What I mean is that I spent hour upon hour working on the tank top, boots, pants, etc. I did research on things like army fatigue patterns (I actually had a jacket from the military as reference), I used 4 different boots as reference, and spent quite a long time texturing the cloth for the pants, top, and leather (boots). I'm really quite pleased in the result. This is sadly, 2 months of working off and on. I should spend a little more time on the next 2 Jacks. Since this was my biggest project to date, I learned tons of stuff, especially about UV mapping and texture painting.Related content

Thanks! I was really impressed by this model when I first made it, but it's getting old. Now that I know how to texture and have Mental Ray shaders by my side, I can do so much more. I still have to do Gun Jack and Jack-5, so if you want to see my true potential, you'll have to wait and see once they are done. I'll have plenty of time once I go home for the summer, that way I don't rush modelling and end up with a bad result.

Whoa... that's, like, the best rendition of P. Jack I've ever seen. The camo is spot-on and the shiny texture of his metal frame looks perfect. Man, you've really gotten good

BLimey-that's fab. Could do with some kind of a shadow projected onto the ground tho- at least under his feet.

indeed - many many large amounts of kudos going your way for doing this! I'm especially appreciative of those camo pants - super major kudos for taking the time to make it right! ^_^
Do you think the other two Jacks will take a similar amount of time?
