Description
This castle probably needs no introduction, it's Howl's Moving Castle from...Howl's Moving Castle (Studio Ghibli).I had to ditch a load of things because of various mistakes but I won't go into detail.
More of it was going to move but honestly, I reached a point where I just thought 'I really can't be bothered with this anymore'.
I think where this animation is at is 'sufficient'.
Thanks so much to `ClefairyKid for all the lessons and pointers. I've self-taught myself lot of pixel art in the past but she's taught me a lot more and this piece has come a long way since my old pixel work!

This is so amazingly done! The colors, and everything are perfect! I have been obsessed with pixel art for the longest time... I want my obsession to become reality by learning how to do it for myself. Could you make a tutorial? Or recommend a tutorial for.. "the absolute pixelation beginner"

I'm not sure I'm confident enough to be a tutorial writer to be honest! I've always dabbled a little bit with pixel art but I personally learnt from a lot of online resources.

Haha, I'm sure the papercraft is just as much work, I've seen the diagrams and one day when I actually have the time (and printer ink to spare) I actually want to give that a go.

Agreed with on most points, especially about the blue house sticking out weirdly. It's oversaturated compared to the rest of the piece.
However! I also acknowledge that you put a lot of time and effort into this, and for the most part, it's pretty darn great. Good job, and congrats on the DD.

Well Laputa is the original name, but when it came to the west it was also called Castle in the Sky. So I've always just been used to the original name.
It's a great movie, I think you should give it a go!
