Heh. Whatever. Actually it doesn't matter, it's just my anti-female-pronouns bias that doesn't allow for me to refer to Baphomet as a she and always go for he instead. Both are equally right and wrong. Otherwise, there are bi-gender variations people have come up with.... "xe" and "shi / hir" to name but a few. I prefer to use "they", but as a singular instead of plural.

The reason is in what Baphomet represents. It's not a deity, but a symbol, or more like, a congregation of a lot of symbols into one in the form of a mythical creature. In short, it represents the Life, the Lifeforce and the Soul. Every element of its representation symbolizes an aspect of this. In particular, it's both male and female because these are the two opposite forms of the Lifeforce, Yin and Yang if you wish, and every living Soul has a combination of both in itself which work together in harmony. As a hermaphrodite, the Baphomet symbolizes Life in a complete way because it comprises of both.
(Also, this is not about physical sexes or genders, it's a spiritual concept that is only symbolically linked to the sexes as we know them.)

Heh, originally Baphomet has feathery wings (not that it matters so much) and the two serpents don't form a DNA spiral, but hold a rod between them, and together with it they represent the main 3 energy pathways of the soul.
As for the Pentagram, it is very much related to Life. For one thing, it is a personal symbol of Lucifer - and He is an embodiment of the Lifeforce. For another, in the spiritual sense of things, the Pentagram symbolizes the five spiritual elements, which are key to spiritual power. Spiritual power is very much related to Life.

I know what the pentagram is, I just never thought Lucifer* had anything to do with life, thought he represented lies and slander and stuff like that, but you must be thinking of someone different. Probably two things with the same name. I generally think of dirt and ground representing life.
I guess I'm having a hard time because I don't believe in energies or spiritual stuff in Humans. I believe in spirit creatures, but I don't think Humans should ever get involved with them because I've seen some super scary stuff happen.

I.... ugh.... alright, what you say here is from xnity. But Lucifer is a much older God, whose image xnity stole and slandered.... beyond recognition. He has nothing to do with the filth they throw His way.... He is a beautiful, fair being, very noble and very pure. And He is my God as a matter of fact, me being a Satanist / Luciferian, so.... I'm rather keen on straightening that. (That also has to do with your question on why I hate xnity so much, from the other talk, that I have skimmed through but won't have time to properly answer tonight.)
I would agree earth represents life at least in this world, it is very much connected to the Earth, both physically and spiritually. One does not conflict with the other. I said Lucifer is an embodiment of the Lifeforce because of the values He stands for and.... well, honestly, because of His personality. But I said it kinda figuratively.
Mmmm scary stuff can happen if one engages in spirituality without knowing what they are doing. This is advanced stuff, it requires a lot of knowledge and understanding. I don't agree humans are not supposed to be involved in it though. As a matter of fact, the poor current state of their species is due precisely to the fact they've cut their bond to spirituality and lost that knowledge. And I can vouch for the benefits of spirituality because if not for it (and Lucifer), I would not even be alive now, probably....

How'd you find out about this? I think of a god as anything worshipped, was he worshipped before other gods? Is he really who he says he is? Why is Xnity fighting him? Where did he come from?

True, and it does. But in my view Life is not necessarily bound to a planet, it can exist independently as well because it's a fundamental cosmic phenomenon. That is to say, in the spiritual sense.
Oh, that happens all the time. People even deliberately seek parallels between religions and find them due to the fact religions often seek to explain the same phenomena in different ways. Though occasionally similarities are assigned without there being a real connection, too.
But in the case with xnity and Lucifer it's not exactly that. Like I said, His image has been stolen and on purpose, to slander Him. I'll try to answer your questions, just bear with me that I do so in length. First, when I say that xnity slandered Him, this has to do with why it fights Him to begin with. The reason is simple - it's because of His values and spirit and what He teaches to His followers (originally pretty much all of humanity). He teaches freedom, prominently inner freedom, freedom of thought and spirit; He also teaches mindfulness, responsibility, inner power and independence. All these things are a hindrance to the religions like xnity, which are designed to cultivate obedience and sheep-mindedness in people and make them easy to control. (This is not what they will tell you directly a lot of the time, but is what their doctrines and ways really results into. I dare to say that no matter what values they are selling, their actual agenda is no different than spiritual slavery. Some of their values do seem good at first sight, but then their deeds show different. I could give examples, but I don't wish to go deeper in that filth again, and besides I trust you have a sober enough view on xnity to be able to see those on your own, as you already demonstrated a bit ago.) My point is, Lucifer teaches freedom and independence and gives us enlightenment and knowledge, and all of this is totally adverse to a religion of spiritual slavery, such as xnity. Furthermore, it is not in His nature to step back and reconcile to injustice and slavery, it is in His nature to fight against it irreconcilably until the wrong has been undone. So He is not only an enemy to slavery, but He is a dangerous one who will never surrender and let it rule. So that's why xnity fights Him and has done anything in its power to slander His name and turn humanity against Him. How I know about all that is a bit of a tricky question and it implies circumstances based on my beliefs that you might not find reasonable but.... they are a good enough grounding for me. For one thing, there are people in Satanism who have devoted their life to studying old texts and making sense of them and of history and they have pieced a lot of the story together; for another, I have studied the matter on my own for many years as well and I've reached many of those conclusions independently, based on what I know about Lucifer and about xnity; for another thing, I know many things from Him directly.... and also from things based on past life knowledge of my own. This may be a stretch too far to you, but I will lie to you if I say differently.
Who He is, where He came from, whether He was worshiped earlier than others.... I believe so. The ancient peoples of this world have worshiped many gods during the ages (I am not sure how you see that, but to me the Gods can be many different spiritual entities), and I believe some of them were the same entities just under different names - Lucifer included, He was known under different names pretty much throughout the world, or at least that's what Satanists more acquainted to ancient texts have discovered. I believe He came from another world, which we call Hell, His own home world, just like each and every one of us comes from our own homeworld (not necessarily the Earth). As for whether He really is who and what He claims to be.... a reasonable mind never bereaves itself of each and all doubts it has, but I have experienced far too much of Him personally to know His worth and truthfulness. Lies could only go so far, and lies would not explain everything He has done and helped me with, nor the fact that everything He ever said to me has proven true. To be honest, I can feel that He speaks the truth, and even just hypothetically implying the opposite already feels wrong to me.... But if you want a more logical ground, here's one: I judge Him by His deeds and they speak enough of His worth; I'd rather judge on that about what He is than on the words of His very enemy, who has also proven to not be quite as truthful.
Ah, that's entirely up to you. I hope you don't mind me sharing my view on it, but it's just an opinion, I don't seek to engage you in anything. To me.... yes, in a manner of speaking yes. You see, I've suffered with heavy dysphoria for pretty much all my life and I've spent most of it in heavy depression. About six years ago that depression peaked and I was suicidal. I had more or less turned away from spirituality and even from Lucifer back then and tried to find a way to live normal life.... but I was miserable instead. Things were bad until I turned to Him again, more out of despair than anything.... but He did the impossible. He didn't just pull me out of the depression, He gave me will to live and the desire to keep living - something I had lost, not to say I never had to the extent I do now. It's just.... at that point no one and nothing could help me (I had tried psychotherapy and it didn't help), but He did, He managed to do what I thought was impossible and change me in a way so that I would be stronger than ever. The way He did it was by restoring my connection to my own self, my spiritual self, my past life, and thus brought me inner peace. I still feel dysphoria with my current body, but I can handle it because within, I am myself. I also have the will to fight and I've made a lot of positive changes in my life, including some that actually lessen the dysphoric feelings. None of that would have been possible without spirituality and without Him.

I've noticed xnity is HEAVILY dependant on government. They get involved in politics, they bless soldiers going out to war, they threaten their members into giving them ridiculous amounts of money, they steer political events. The insanity that they preach is to scare their worshippers into obedience for the benefit of their financial supporters. They teach ridiculous things (sex is a sin? How do YOU reproduce?! Indians are from the devil? So you're saving them by killing them? Exc...) Just to further instill unquestioning obedience.
I don't mind obedience, as long as I have the choice and feel it's reasonable. I don't mind rules if they make sense (Don't enter lion habitat? Ok, seems good to me)
If there was a religion that didn't ask for money, didn't get involved in politics, and gave it's members solid explanations and free will, I'd be a happy camper. I more or less have that now, in the form of a dead religion with no rules except "don't destroy your environment"
But in the meantime, I'm not choosing sides.

That's all quite right. Though if you've gazed into that insanity for as long as I have trying to make sense of it, you see just how deep and omnipresent it is.... I hardly can see a part of the human society and system that isn't affected by all that and the powers that stand behind it. Especially the latter. Our tribe worships dragons, as you know. Many members claim to be dragons (like my grandparents. We take them seriously, they're frekin' terrifying).
That's were Urkens (the dragon people my husband and I draw) came from.
Although, when we came to the mainland, we learned that was called furries and it wasn't an ancient custom, it was a lame fad. We died a little bit. So now we keep the whole trans-species thing on the down-low.

That's your choice and I understand why you would not show it openly. The furries.... I don't consider that to be truly transspecies. It seems to be a kind of vogue that kids and wanna-bees engage in for entertainment or who knows what, but they don't understand what it's really like to be transspecies. They don't really perceive themselves as another kind of creature, they have no idea what it feels like. It may sound derisive of me, but I lost most of my respect for them when they attacked and mocked me because I shared publicly I perceive myself as a different creature. To me, people who would do that and mock such deep spiritual experience, they cannot be really transspecies, no matter what games they play. I have friends who experience it like me, and to all of us this is something utterly serious, deeply personal and vastly important. I don't know what it is like in your culture exactly, but the fact there's this vogue now doesn't mean much more ancient practices don't exist and aren't true. I say, stay true to yourselves and what you feel to be.

I have nine living snakes, there’s never enough snake people out there! I do have one in a vial on my shelf/shrine that was my cousin’s. It was a three year old snake the size of a hatchling, it had been born with a hole in its head and never grew. It had serious nerological issues and unfortunately it wasn’t being kept properly and was accidentally poisoned so I took it and put it in a proper environment but she died three days later. I also have a dried snake egg that still has a visible embryo when candled (unfortunately I lost the baby when I was away for days and my incubator ran out of water).
