I just got bored and decided to create these My Little Pony trainer cards. Twilight's team is mostly Psychic and Ghost-types, Rainbow Dash's team is mostly Flying types, Rarity's team is mostly rare Pokemon, Fluttershy's team is mostly baby Pokemon or anything cute, Applejack's team is mostly Ground and Rock types, and I just loaded up Pinkie's team with superpowerful/psuedo-legendaries. It's still unbelievable to me how the Brony Trainer Card and this are the most popular things I've ever made on this site...and yet I barely put any effort into them. My OC's, however, which I put a lot of work and effort into, are almost completely ignored. Now I know how Carl Douglas felt when "Kung-Fu Fighting" was topping the charts.

because any member of that team can in fact OHKO a flygon- half of them before it even moves.
Also, in competitive, everyone's pokemon are brought down to lv 50.

Am I the only one picturing a MLP based Pokemon campaign...with these as the Gym Leaders?
Of course, then we'd need Celestia and Luna's trainer cards to round out the eight (they'd both have at least one legendary) and then Discord as the final boss (he'd have the glitch pokemon like MissingNo and any others that have shown up...or possibly fight your pokemon himself).

well, there is something similar that I found. that's an awesome idea, though. Anyway, just track download VisualBoy Advance (GBA Emulator, super easy to find) and Ponymon Dawn & Dusk, it's basically Pokemon FireRed but with MLP characters replacing most of the Pokemon and the Mane 6 divided up between the two games as the starters. Protip: don't pick Twilight, she has the WORST stats of all six and you won't win the first battle even with the potion.

both games are basically the same, but--this kinda goes without saying--you might want to download the latest version. You should probably download both games just for good measure. Anything else can probably be answered on the wiki

Was playing dusk version, and picked F Fluttershy for my starter.
I had a full team, and I came across an F Big Mac.
I had him weakened to the point of capture (in the red) but to be on the safe side, I called out my F Fluttershy to use Squee on him, since status effects increase capture probability as well.
"F Fluttershy used Squee.
F Big Mac fell in love.
F Big Mac is in love with F Fluttershy.
F Big Mac is immobilized by love."
FLuttermac shippers would find that hilarious. Wish I knew how to do video captures.

Also, is there a way to continue earning money after you've beaten all the trainers you can encounter?

I don't know the EXACT leveling system but the wiki I lnked earlier does provide some useful information on what evolves when and how, most of the time. As for the other question, I think the only other way to get money is using cheats (using gameshark/codebreak/action replay codes for FireRed work the exact same way) or selling expensive and/or not very practical things such as Pearls, Nuggets, etc.

Okay, so cheat codes work then? In that case, I think I'll be cheating my money whenever I start to fall short towards the end of the game.
The reason I want to know about the leveling system is cause I want to complete my Pokedex AND train up a main team.

I don't necessarily recommend catch Mewtwo, because he's Young Discord and evolves at level 25. SO, a Level 70 Young Discord has THE shittiest stats ever and evolves into Discord, but takes a long time to build up stats and moves.

Cheats; that's the only way I think you can get a low-level Young Discord. That, or just face the real level 70 one as Discord (i.e. Mew)

there are plenty of sites where you can find codes that will allow you to change all wild pokemon into a certain one, and even some that will change the level of all encounters to anywhere from 1 to 100. I would probably check Supercheats, Neoseeker, or you can just google 'Pokemon firered codebreaker codes' or something and you'll be able to find plenty really easily. The wiki even has a walk through walls code that was meant to see the later bits of the game in early versions.

by that logic, why not just use the complete Pokedex code? Keep in mind, they really only have up to the first 151, and as you probably caught by now, some of the sprites haven't been integrated and the second generation pokemon lineup is still being determined though it's been confirmed that most of the list will be characters from the second season including Chrysalis as either Ho-Oh or Celebi.
