This was a print I did for NYCC 2013, sold at the Level Up Studios booth. It was done in a very short time, so it's not one of my best pieces, but fans who came up and bought one got a preview of Alpha's new outfit to be premiered in TOME Episode 10, the season finale !Related content

I finally found it and watched it (I always watched the series on Newgrounds, didn't know it was already out until the other day).
And I gotta say, I never expected that twist.
Can't wait for season 2!!!!!!!!!!!

Nylocke got a beard because he stayed up for days last minute grinding for experience points before the Gemini Tournament.

two characters, gamecrazed and kirb, have yet to change their appearence. i wonder if they ever will.
i honestly must say episode 9 wasn't what i expected. but i made sense considering alpha's skill before the forbidden power. it made so much sense it hurt, the whole tournament, incredible, even the buffering... ive watched episode 9 3 times XD... and 5, well 5 times, i cant wait for these "dark times" in which thy speak-ith of. WHOOSH!

I wonder if you're gonna take the time to improve your artstyle when working on season 2. You undoubtedly know how to draw, and you do have an appealing sense for character design aesthetics, but there is always room to improve, y'know?
For one, I know your style was heavily inspired by Mega Man. There are a good number of good Mega man artbooks which you can buy and use for inspiration. You're also a watcher of Archie's official Mega man artist here on DA, so take some things you like about his art and work it into your own style. Or anyone else you like not Mega Man-related. Those are just simple recommendations though. Look at the art that you admire and take something out from that and incorporate it into your own art.
I hope I'm not coming across as judging. I actually love your character designs alot, which ooze alot of personality that couples well with your natural knack for diverse and varied character personalities.Β I know you're usually super busy, which is why you don;t have enough time to fully analyze and tighten up your work. But I do believe TOME has the potential to be a better looking show. Just having watched episode 9, I noticed your action scenes were more dynamic and interesting this time around, which compelled me to rewatch the episode more than 4 times because of how awesome and eye catching it looked.. that's a HUGE step forward in my opinion. It shows you have the ability to break those milestones and make things look good despite what little time and resources you have. Looks don't matter in the long run, but good looking art that shows that a semblance of effort was put into can possibly not only attract a wider audience, but also add more emotional depth you're putting into the characters that you cherish so much. .
You don't have to be Joodlez levels of good by the time Season 2 comes out, that's not what I'm saying at all. Take slow baby steps if you aren't already. Change things around and do little tweaks. Experiment with your sketches. Even the small details can be huge improvements. You've already shown proof that you are capable of this. I'm not much of an artist myself and I'm super lame at drawing, but I just care so much about this show that I wanted to provide somewhat helpful critiques of my own that would maybe improve it. And hey, it's not a necessity to improve your art right off the bat. The writing is the most important aspect, and I would hate to see the story-telling compromised in favor of flashier looking characters or cool fight scenes. Regardless of how good the art is though, I can safely say I will continue watching TOME and am thankful to you for contributing a great story to my list of things to watch. Despite TOME's lack of a professional level of presentation and production values, it most certainly has alot of heart and that's what attracted me to it in the first place.

You're welcome! Glad to be a fan of TOME! Kirb more than anything than what I just posted, just wanted to say to always do whatever the hell you want and follow the path you've chosen. I remember in a panel you once said to do something to please yourself rather than impress others. Now that I look back I may have came off as dick-ish in my intent in my comment. If the art style isn't something you're interested on focusing on now, then just keep doing what you're doing mostly because you love doing it, not what others try to tell you to do. Don't stress out too much and just remember be high on life. Have fun doing what you love. TOME has been very inspirational to me so far, and to see all the creativity and passion you pour into the show is itself inspiring. It's the kind of show that gives me that special "I'd love to see this every Saturday on Toonami if it had a bigger budget" feel. Anyways I've been too talky so far. Sorry about that dude, usually there's so much on mind I just have to release it all all at once. Lol. So I'll just leave it with a GOOD LUCK!

Umm, is TOME going to continue after episode 10 or is that it?

the trailer was for the SEASON, so yeah he's going to continue.
because well, everyone wanted him to continue the old one SO MUCH, yet looking back it had alot of plot errors, poor character dev, and everyone was a recolor, and it pretty much is your typical sprite series.
yet we all loved it, and so if he ended THIS before evening having a season and a half after, it'd be pretty idiotic XD
so yeah, we'll probably see more of TOME

first off, as recent tome fan, having only watched the series within the last few months, I am undoubtedly hooked onto your wonderful show! Second, the evolution of you and your associates' character designs and personalities is fitting and quite refreshing to see. You and your collaborators ability to evoke emotions viewers, in addition to being able to somewhat relate every character to a gaming personality.
I apologize if my review is mere babble and maddened fan dialogue, but I enjoyed the series as a whole and look forward to seeing more of it in the future!

It's an incredibly plain outfit, somewhat uninspired one might say, but I do notice that it has its roots in Alpha's simple but trendy prospective clothing from TTA Season 4: Ground Zero , so I will give it some props.
