-THE ORIGINAL-
Demonking was a big favorite to fans of the original in a similar way to Nylocke. He's based on a childhood friend of mine and his, at the time, laziness in typing. I reflected this in the text in his first appearance, but later retconned it in subsequent appearances by replacing it with him just not having any sense of "drama". He had a decent role in Season 1, but after a while had less and less of a direct impact on the story.
-THE NEW-
This version ended up being one of my favorites in terms of the hackers' re-imagining. He's a lot of fun to draw, with his design being simply an update to his old look, but I really enjoyed animating him in his Episode 03 appearance. I was also pretty clear on what I wanted to do with him in terms of his personality, which was not so much an update or even an exaggeration to how he was in TvTome Adventures, but a more solid direction of his portrayal. I wanted him to be a funny villain, so I really played up his laziness, his impressionability and more than anything: his pathetic demeanor. Having "Sorry..." be his first words spoken, especially after such a commanding entrance, I thought would set the stage and get across my overall idea for him. If there's one thing I wish I could go back and change about Episode 03, in retrospect, I would've shortened the conversation between Flamegirl and her friends and spent more time with Nylocke and Demonking. Reason being, while I intended for Nylocke to just be so influential and weirdly inspiring to Demonking and ultimately changes him for the better, there wasn't enough time spent in that scene to really get it across. People still generally bought it, but I definitely would've readjusted or even entirely rewritten that scene to make Demonking's sudden "transformation" go a bit smoother. Either way, he was a fun ride and I DO wanna bring him back, where appropriate.

It was always little details like how he was lazy at typing that made TTA and tome stand out despite it's crude display. As cringy or generic as the writing got at times it still had that realish feeling to it like these people were believable. Probably because you based them off people you knew.

considering the fact that ( for the few seconds he had, after turning good) thta he Nye and Why seemed to get along, you could probably make him someone who hangs out with Why and Saturn.

I actually thought the whole Nylocke speech was handled at a decent pace, because DK's reaction to it was basically the same as everyone watching.
I like DK's "tragic villain" character and you definitely gave him more character here than he did back in the day.

I remember back in TTA how Demonking and Nailock were with DK's lack of drama and Nai's positive outlook.
I liked how DK wised up back then when he quit the hackers, especially in the special edition episode where the text didn't look like it was typed badly.
I look forward to see how DK gets along with Nylocke, who has a completely different personality than Nailock.

Still funny in ep 3 when DK still lacked drama and easily realized his mistakes shocking everyone that he was turned good *snap* just like that. Then in Nylocke's day-off he pushed one of his buttons, even though he doesn't wear a shirt , seems he might be off and on sort of villian

DK doesn't seem like the villain type. He just got in with a wrong crowd, and he wanted to go back to school, so that's something.
As for "Nylocke's Day Off", they might battle again. I kinda wanna see that fight, and watch Nylocke apologize.

Yeah, I loved how sinister and WHOOA THIS GUY MEANS BUSINESS he looks, but really, he's just some sorry fella. It's a clever way to re-imagine his lack of drama from back in TTA.

Aww, poor Demonking. All he wanted was to go back to school! Is that too much to ask?
I really think his laziness came across well. I spent a good time laughing during his scenes

Definitely one of my favourite characters in the series, partly because his lazy attitude reflects mine... I always found his lack of drama really amusing.
