Hey! So this is the comparison between my two Toothless paintings, top one I did back in 2012, and the bottom well... tonight

I think one of the most satisfying things about what I do is finally noticing the improvement after all the hard work that's put into practicing art.

Most artists will know that the hardest thing about pursuing a career in art is self-doubt, thinking that you'll never get better no matter how hard you practice, but it's not true. I mean shit, I could hardly draw anything but aliens in 2012, painting Toothless back then was something new for me... but nowadays I like to think that I'm getting better at drawing a whole bunch of stuff!

But it's exercises like this, where you re-paint something you considered to be proud of a couple of years ago, and realise how much you've actually improved... and it feels awesome.

I've recorded both processes and I will be creating a side-by-side video of both paintings, comparing the differences between the techniques I used too, it should be great to watch! I'll post it later. ^-^
