Aspiration: Returning the world to its former beauty and exploring it. Having less responsibilities again.

Personality:
Likes- flying and gliding, playing and listening to music, whistling, green rupees (doesn’t care they’re worth the least, likes the color), animals (especially forest creatures, from fluffy squirrels to elegant deer to creepy spiders), forest beings, getting lost (especially with another), sparring with sticks, collecting weapons and instruments, exploring, traveling, races, windy weather, starting over (physically from a place or emotionally with a person), hopping onto wild mounts

Dislikes- lightning/thunder (big fear, though they enjoy being so afraid and get kinda wild), obligations that entrap them, bottling up feelings/thoughts, dishonesty (unless it’s a prank or joke), stagnant weather, experiencing periods of mental numbness where it’s hard to feel afraid or excited anymore

Foras is a thrill-seeking, encouraging ball of friendliness and energy. They are quite the live wire, usually excited over one thing or another. The advantage they have from having learned to appreciate even tough or negative emotions as critical to a wider experience of courage and fun means they’re willing to go through a lot of different situations and write them off as interesting. They’re usually positivity-minded in this way, though they have their times where they’re stubborn or dissenting. Overall, Foras lives by their emotions, wherever that takes them. Their least favorite thing is feeling so low and drained that they can’t feel anything anymore, good or bad. So they ride the wave of what keeps them going.

As purely and unapologetically selfish as they are, Foras is full of good will and cares about other people. They’re interested in others and find themselves drawn to people more often than not. They crave attention and affection, but they’re not looking to compromise others’ feelings if they can help it. They have somewhat recently learned to be more talkative about their intentions, communicating loudly their desires from others and letting them decide if they would like that too. This all still makes them somewhat of a brat, which is kind of unavoidable.

Foras’s fear-ridden disposition from their childhood remains to this day, but it is mixed with their love of thrills and willingness to speak honestly. They like that they’re afraid of things because it means they can be courageous. This makes them look confident, though if you speak to them they are more than willing to admit to how they’re really quite afraid. They’re also big on encouraging others, however that may be. They enjoy giving advice when in comes up, though it may not always be good advice as it comes through the filter that they see the world in, which may not help others so well.

The Dragon of Courage’s candor is unmatched. As part of their take on what courage means to them, they have adopted a completely honest dialogue with themselves and others. They are such an open book that the pages are loose. That is not to say they can’t keep a secret, however. They just choose to go through with saying the things that are on their mind when it makes sense to do so. Due to their generally good nature and care for others, this is mostly harmless. They are a big talker as much as they are a big doer of things. They may come off as not the brightest due to having sometimes roundabout logic and being somewhat of an airhead, but they can also be clever at the same time. Foras has that forest dweller trickster edge which comes out here and there, although they aren’t fond of doing things at others’ expenses.

History:

Foras’s life began with a deafening crash of multiple lightning strikes as Farosh died with a literal bang. The majestic dragon, going out with its own great powers, produced its reincarnation almost instantly, in the same flash. Foras, spooked by such a greeting to the world, fled from Faron all the way northwest, flying as far and fast as their tiny baby dragon body could take them and ending up trapped in the Lost Woods. The forest inhabitants took a collapsed Foras to the Great Deku Tree, and after some more initial fear and confusion, the dragon began to warm up to him as their father. This version of the Dragon of Courage had an affinity for the wind and leaves instead of lightning, which made them well suited to become a fellow creature of the forest.

The Deku Tree taught little Foras how to overcome their highly fearful disposition, starting with appreciating it for making courage stand out. They grew bigger and bolder bit by bit, gradually venturing from their father’s comfort to the depths of the spooky forest and gaining companionship with the forest denizens. After many years, still not full grown, Foras made it outside of the forest to begin exploring elsewhere, finding particular joy in the thrills of flying around cliffs and dips in the land. They settled into a village of Rito for a time, coming to see them as a second family. They grew up this way, traveling between their main and secondary homes and exploring further around Hyrule, for a long time. They even left the safety of the Deku Tree’s protection during the next Blight surge to ensure the survival of their Rito family.

After a couple more Blight incursions, the remaining Rito they knew, now comprised of only their next generations anyway, were forced farther east than was safe to make frequent trips to visit. Many more years still and the Great Deku Tree revealed that he was about to die. Foras, as predicted, did not take this well. When it happened, they only did the minimum to help escort the forest residents to their new home all the way south back in Faron before being little more than an infrequent visitor, preferring to distract themselves with excitement elsewhere. They did take some kind of responsibility however, which was rather unavoidable since they had no Oracle or Sages to help with their burdens. And with the Great Deku Tree’s own reincarnation in need of protection, Foras made themselves a home on the nearby Angel Peak to overlook Vhintl and the place they keep him safe. They are still not very well tied down, not for lack of caring about their people, but they are closer at hand than they were before. And now that Elde finally awakened as the Oracle of Courage, after Foras was forbidden from revealing their divine nature to their closest kin for years, they at least have some help and companionship on a level that not many could understand or provide.

Extras:
Has a couple pets that live up on Angel Peak with them, though they’re just kinda wildlife that came around to them. A cucoo, Weathervane, that they like to use for gliding down the mountain in Kokiri form. And a red fox, Windsock, who scampers about. The two get along surprisingly enough, and whether that is somehow due to Foras's influence is unknown.

Doesn’t keep a particular mount, though they enjoy hopping onto wild deer or horses and taking them from there when they are able to do so.

Surprisingly not big on hunting live meat despite being a dragon. They love to mix up their diet with whatever interests them at the moment, so long as it varies with their whims. They will 100% eat whatever you put in front of them.

Since they’re not the most responsible and not always present, they have two main helpers in the village who communicate with them. Tipsi (full name Tipstr, but usually called by his nickname), is a fairy who helps in information. He is usually more about fun than work, but he does his job. And Peddle, the son of a business deku scrub family who takes care of various other tasks. He’s more serious about work, though very much a worrier. His nervous nature caught Foras’s interest, and they like to encourage him.
