I adore the lines on the strong red that flow into the focal point of the design, and the red would really draw a potential customer in from afar. Red + Black + White is always a winner, but I like how you've added the soft pink rose quartz that gives it the femininity and grace unicorns have.

This one is part of a series and all of them are very similar to each other. Picking a stone for this one though was hard because of what could look good against the cherry red velvet and still have contrast. Good thing I had a lot of rose quartzes lying around because I sure used a lot of them on this one!

I don't know if I could say that I actually like them, but I have been around them since I was a kid because my parents had a large print of the Unicorn in Captivity hanging over the fireplace. And to do a fantasy series, you have to have a Unicorn!

Is there any zipper on the top side, or is it just hollow?

Kitten-of-Woe In reply to emmil [2009-02-03 13:29:06 +0000 UTC]
In this particular series (a fantasy series of 4 handbags), there are no closures because while I was making the set, I was asked to do a show and given three months to finish them. That wasn't enough time to finish them by doing any kind of closure, so they were designed with that dilemma in mind. Usually though they'll have either a zipper or a loop and button, with the button often a semi-precious gemstone. Thankyou for faving this one

lol... I was about to ask you how much the price is... but without the zipper, it's a nono here. Pick pockets rule everywhere... XD

Yeh, you definitely need to protect yourself from pickpockets. Zippered bags are not even totally secure against an adept pickpocket though. I have on commission made inside zippered pockets within the bag and those give extra security. The best security might be a money belt or cargo pants that have those large buttoned pockets that can easily hold a wallet.

yep... a zipper can be considered as the first step of self protect ^^

This is very lovely, lots of detail and the velvet works along side the leather wonderfully. The beautiful rose quartz is also noted and congrats on the feature!

Thankyou. This one's part of a series and all four are in my gallery. All have the same structural shape and the same Gothic window shield shape in the center, but with different themes, different velvet colors, and different stones. Don't know why this one's more popular than the others, the Celtic Cross is my personal favorite. Thanks again and also for ing it.
