Cowhide, velvet. 9 inches across at top, 11 inches at bottom, 12 inches long. Unicorn in white hair-on-calf. One rose quartz cabochon (30mm by 40mm), one 5mm faceted garnet suspended from a vermeil bead. Yeh, I get what you're saying. Most guys look at and fave my leatherwork because they're either looking to buy something for a woman in their lives or because they look past that they're handbags and are curious about the techniques I use. There are now some awesome female artists in this line but it's still a traditionally male dominated kind of thing. Many thanks for the comments, I appreciate them

Thankyou! Everything I make is for sale or done on commission. The only exception was one I kept for myself because of what I saw as an imperfection on it. No one else has ever agreed with me on that so I could have sold it, too. I've thought of taking it apart and using the stones on something else, but now and then I need a nice bag too, because otherwise all I have for myself is a ratty old backpack

This is absolutely perfect!
I've been thinking about making meeself a laptop bag (nothing so fancy - I can't sew leather and I was thinking more Invader Zim than original art, ha!), and this right here is exactly why I want to do it. Quality materials, craftsmanship, and absolute originality. I would be a million times more proud to carry around a custom bag like this than any painting I've ever made.

Invader Zim could be done easily enough, the hard part would be finding that just-right-shade of green, hmm. I had time to go through only a few galleries today and I noticed that the people I was drawn to just happened to be cat lovers. I was really taken with your Orpheus

This is a really impressive work! I love the amount of detail in this, the variety of colors and textures and such make me wish I could see it in person. The contrast between the rich red and browns and the bright white unicorn is really eye-catching. Lovely all around!

Thankyou. It was difficult finding a color that would go well with the very pink rosequartz and then it hit me -- red, well why not? Works for me and I haven't heard any complaints

yes, I sure did make him. Everything in my gallery is made by me with some of the preliminary sketches the only exceptions and I go to *Jagarnot for help on those when I need it.
